One man band👏👏
In my bookclub, we read "The Violin Conspiracy? by Brendan Slocumb. In the book, the hero is a very talented violinist and "Rhosymedre" is one of his favorite to play. This is a Welsh hymn tune composed by a vicar in the 19th century. There are a few arrangements of this song. The version here was selected because it has a violinist (as in the book) as the soloist in an ensemble wih four trombones. Unusual but beautiful!
Very interesting thanks! We didn't know any of that.
What a fine piece for virtuosic players. Definitely a high-water mark for brass trios.
Thanks Bruce - we agree!
Great Arrangement! I think my quintet would love it.
Thanks! :)
OUTSTANDING! (Just Beautiful!) 🎶 🎄🎅🏼🥗🔔
Thanks! 🙂
Is this computer generated, or are these real performers?
Great arrangement!
Thanks! :)
Wow! What a unique and beautiful arrangement of this lovely piece!
Thanks very much! :)
Thanks for the kind words (Tom Camp, arranger)
There is a mistake in the audio at 7:28. The cymbal crash comes in a bar too early on the fermata, rather than just before the subsequent tuba entry where it should be. We have fixed this in the final publication.
ALWAYS play (and drink) responsibly! 🙂
Indeed!
Niche KZread suggestions for me are getting way too accurate lol. Way to go with this arrangement! Awesome work
Many thanks Anand!
This brings back memories
Good ones we hope! :)
Excellent version. Here I would like to offer some praise for your "new" graphics. I think they are eye-catching and unique. If there was an average size monitor showing a view screen and a list on the right, showing 7 videos and 3 of them are Music For Brass, I could identify the MFB ones with a high degree of accuracy from across the room.👍 Further highlighting the fine work of Messrs. van Gulik, Williams, and others.
Thanks Jason!
Excellent festive Music!👍
Great job I play trombone myself and you sound great👏
Thanks Juan! We'll pass that on to Julian.
Very nice. Do like a little "guest appearance" quote myself, you know!🙂
Thanks Jason!
Wow. Very dramatic, and serious. And...challenging...those phrases that start in the upper register at mp...definitely for advanced soloists.
Thanks Jason. We're not sure who the performer is, as the composer obtained the recording. He or she is a really great player.
Very cool piece 👍
Agreed! :)
A very nice piece. At times I found it...cute. Am I gonna get in trouble for saying that?🙂🤔A Howland fugue. A stately Howland fugue!👍
Not at all. Thanks for the comments!
Beautiful❤
Much appreciated!
WOW Excellent piece. This is really different! Yes, a bit moody. Waiting until after a playthrough to read the notes, more tragic than moody. Effective Film Noir mood throughout! Don't know how I missed this on FB! 👍
Thanks Jason!
Brrrrr!
Excellent
Thanks Jeff!
Are you using Noteperformer ?
Very nice! Not hard to play, and quite fun.👍
Thanks Jason!
cool, i love this march
Thanks! :)
Sounds great!
Thanks! :)
#brassquintet
nice . . .
This is really well done! Gave me chills throughout. I would love to play this with my friends ❤
Thanks very much Logan. Perhaps you will someday! :)
If we only had any...
Thanks for listing this!
You're very welcome!
bella, Paolo, bella musica! <3
Grazie mille!
belíssimo arranjo, parabéns.
Muito obrigado!
You might notice there is a badly placed breathmark in the last line of the Trumpet 1 part sample (about :42 on). We have fixed this in the final publication.
There is a mistake in the audio at 7:26. The cymbal crash comes in a bar too early on the fermata, rather than just before the subsequent tuba entry where it should be. We have fixed this in the final publication.
IMO that's the best arrangement of FUM, FUM, FUM I've ever heard. Excellent!
Thanks Jason! We'll pass that along to the composer!
wicked Tuba solo!
Agreed! Here's what the composer wrote about it: "There are plenty of opportunities for little theatrical touches here, if the tuba player is so inclined! The tuba part in this movement is notably more difficult than the rest of the music, and a number of optional changes have been marked to make the part easier to play, if so desired. The player is also welcome to add suitable extra embellishments to taste if they wish, within the character of the music."

Nice video thanks! 🙏
Excellent piece. Excellent!
Thanks so much Jason!
That tuba solo!
I love the dynamic contrast you added in your video and as well as different sections. It kinda helps me play snare part even though I’ll be marching in front with a baton 😂 👍 👏
Thanks TheNueKid4!!
Very nice!
Thanks!
I love it! How did you get all these guys to match tone and articulation so perfectly?! That obbligato on the trombone must have been a real PITA but you nailed it! Would you mind sharing the arrangement? I’d like to do this on the horn.
Thanks Cameron! The trombone sheet music can be purchased and downloaded at www.musicforbrass.com/trombone-choir-music.html#army_of_the_nile - are you wanting a version for eight horns in F? We could ask the arranger if he is willing...
So bright and fun!
Thanks! :)
VERY VERY. NICE. JAIPUR. INDIA

The person at the top right looks like they would be in a school photo Also wonderful

Can totally imagine my friend nick playing these beautiful high notes. Goosebumps
We're glad you enjoyed it Bailey! :)
Amazing! Great playing!
That's actually a computer-generated playback, but thanks nonetheless! :)
