    100% guitar talent, 0% musical talent

  • @georgepapathanasiu
    @georgepapathanasiuАй бұрын

    Yes, a lot of shredders focus on the precision of their technique and not exactly on the musicality and how musically mature they are, but when it comes to me when I am playing and transcribing new pieces, I am always thinking about the chords, that have been played on top of the solos and what modes should be used on top of these chords. There is no such thing as a ,,guitar talent”, ,,music talent” is what I have of some sort and I completely disagree, that I have 0% for obvious reasons.

  • @mylesbell8281
    @mylesbell8281Ай бұрын

    @@georgepapathanasiu that's good that you focus on the chords etc. I just feel like when everything is played so fast, it all just ends up sounding very similar, since it becomes harder to distinguish the actual notes you're hearing, which is why I say 0% musical talent

I think this video is proof that you don’t need expensive gear, when it comes to Yngwie’s tone, it is all in the fingers and a small percentage is actually from the gear, that you are using.

    tbh i think that 80% max is ur accuracy of this solo

  • @georgepapathanasiu
    @georgepapathanasiu Жыл бұрын

    Yes, I made a couple of mistakes. One of the biggest mistakes that I did that I shot the video with an Samsung S20 plus, which has very poor quality camera and the actual camera microphone is just a piece of garbage, which can’t capture well the guitar sound. I know there is a solution to this, which is to record with an interface, but I don’t like how guitar plugins sound, they never sound realistic ,like real tube amps. Also I should mention that I can’t record my amp with a microphone, because I live in a apartment and I will have noise complain issues, because I am recording some stupid guitar videos. Other mistake is that at the end of the solo I used the bridge pickup, not the neck pickup, that is why the end sounds little more aggressive, not like John’s recording where it sounds very liquidy. In terms of my tone, it could be better if my amp had more of an American sound, but the British sound I personally like more, because it has cranked mids, lower bass and doesn’t have high end at all, that is why it sounds thicker and smoother. Other than that I can’t think of other mistakes that I did, maybe if I played with a lighter touch could be alot better.
