If you still have this lathe... turn the black box sensor on back of lathe up side down and you measurements/ reading will increase as you go towards the chuck.
I just replaced my chain and now my clutch won’t work. I’ve tried adjustments but it just acts like it’s not even pulled when I put it into gear while cranked. Engine dies immediately. Clutch lever feels normal.
Any updates on this project?
Currently building the same bike what air filters did you use. I can’t find any cheap ones that small
Nice coffe
English Tea 🙂
WOW. This is actually super neat and a great way to re use these old engines.
in my expections it may become softer in cause of changing angle. did you make the shocks harder somehow, and make tha travel shorter?
recently i asked a techy guy at workplace about measuring to the rims, and he looked down at me saying george, those rims can have hits of mm-s, which ends up more mm-s at distance. according to this measuring to rims is not an absolute value
That doesn't look good. And there not going to perform like a shock should have just bolted or welded a straight bar or pipe.
Excellent work. I'm looking at the entire Honda Rebel work playlist. Congratulations. This motorcycle fork is a luxury and it fits very well. Greetings from Argentina.
Is it possible to tilt a stationary generator motor so that the engine head remains upright, or will the oil no longer reach it? I noticed that those who build motorcycles with these engines never tilt them; they always position them normally.😅✌️
Good...simple idea
I know this is an older video but I am remaking the seat on my 1980 gs750L and your videos on the seat build are exactly what I needed to see! Thank you.
Glad I could help
Odds you are gonna see this while i am in the hw store are low, but what size spark plug socket did you use?
What did you use to get electronic rpm signal? What kind of sensor? My 78 gs750 had a rpm cable
Explained in the video
That looks good! How does she ride ow?
Getting em out is the easy part.. can do that by hand no matter what head it is.. i use a dye holder from a tap set, and a socket that fits inside that with a magnet inside the socket.. putting those little bastards bAck in kills me every time and i always gotta do it on damn 32 or 16 valve heads..
The 88-95 Shadow 600s are still my favorite
Wow… I just binged watched the whole thing too. I am blown away with your build. That is the coolest springer front end. I would kill for a springer for my Rebel. Awesome job. I hope updates come in the future.
GREAT WORK MAN!! Ran across your channel looking for a springer for a Honda Rebel build. Bike is for a young lady that wants a springer badly. Any chance of buying one of these from you?? Many thanks
Hello, thank you for your comment, Im not looking to fabricate and sell however I have created plans and instructions to build your own. link in the description.
@@dtaylo4517 Awesome, many thanks!!
Thanks for the video! Looks like a great upgrade.
How long did the forks end up being, from end to end? I'm planning to build my own motorcycle, and I'd love to know if this would match up with my existing plans. Thanks!
Link in the description to the plans, all dimensions available.
Una consulta de qué diámetro es la varilla que usaste para enlazar el rearset con la palanca de cambios??
Great bike!!!
Muito bom ! obrigado!!! Brazil!
De nada
Nice
"unloved" Lmao, are you kidding me? The vr600 is the most customized bike around
From a condition perspective ie the bike was in poor condition and unloved.
Also the chain flange tools you definitely can’t go cheap, they are an absolute pain in the rear
Not wrong there! Ive since binned it very poor quality, I'll probably make one at some point, another project on the horizon.
I’m currently rebuilding a 1977 gs750 as a personal project and I wish I started recording from the jump but I stumbled across your channel and I think I may start up a new channel following my build now.
zip it off with a impact gun. problem solved.
And...if you don't have an impact gun?
Thank you for this video series. I have done pretty much everything you can do to a CB750, just picked up a 78 GS750, suzuki is a foreign world to me, these are a great help
Thank you and good luck with your build.
hello; Are the plans you suggested for Honda Shadow 600 suitable?
They could be made to work for shadow.
Are the dimensions of pipes and other parts included in the file? @@dtaylo4517
@@gokhanylmaz291 Yes all parts are dimensioned.
Is the 3D drawing in the video available so that I can cut these parts, except the pipes, on CNC? Thank you 🤗❤️
@@gokhanylmaz291 Plans are available, there are no 3d files.
Nice! Thank you
Your welcome
Any updates on the Rebel mate?
Hey up pal, yeah projects have been put on hold for bit, started new job beginning of the year so have been fully invested with that. Hopefully updates soon.
Binge watched this whole Playlist. Didn't get in to it for all the machine work, but it was pretty cool to see every little step and appreciate the level of detail and the time you put into the project. That being said, I'm here for this build! Season 10 and the writers went on strike, or what? 😂 Must be the same writers from Lost. What happened!? Where's the end, the finished product, the pièce de resistance?!? Lol
Haha life thats what happens, hopefully updates soon
Hello from Ukraine! 👋 ☺ 👍 💛💙
On my engine I didnt do anything except I took governor out and it ran no problem even at high rpms
Woulda been a nice how-to if it hadnt had the Disco music
talk about straight pipe...holy moly...that exhaust is savage.
You need a balance pipe for performance and sound.
What Clutch lever is that? Looks way better than the original factory.
These where an ebay purchase but! I reverted back to the OME lever as the after markets weren't up to the job.
i just came across this channel. really interesting and good work! was there ever a video showing the final result? i can't find one and certainly want to see the end result
Thank you much appreciated. No there hasn't been a completion video, life has sort of got in the way.
What is the purpose of the part that is held by those three screws and is it possible to mess it up? I took mine off and it doesn't seem to be functioning properly now.
How do you cleanup the edges so that the transition between colours is crisp? Also, can you share the paint specs? Love your bike!
Able to share the paint specs (including the stripe)? Love the colours!
Where you get that carb mount?
Custom made, really quite simple to make.
Can't hear louder plz
Hola amigo estoy modificando una moto me parece interesante tu vídeo quiero saber en esa pocision la suspención es más suave o dura .. agradecería tu reapuesta
Ahora toca otro para el carro transversal!!!
Where did u get mounting plate for the footpegs? Good job on video!
