😂😂😂 cause it looks like a old cheese grater without a handle and parents will say to their kids "thats what a cheese grater used to look like" cause most modern cheese graters in the shops have a handle on top of them

Peak Rail should have purchased the Woodhead route (which was intact and there for the taking) and run their trains between two great cities. Instead, for 45 years they funneled all their money, time and effort into a totally derelict, impossible pipe dream. What a dreadful, blinkered mistake.

I didn’t know that NER No. 910 was back at Shildon. The worst thing about Shildon is the fact they have a Pacer and a rail bus. Anyone who had the displeasure of riding on one isn’t going to reminisce fondly about it.

47484 Need to be restored back to its former glory ASAP (LSL need your help! ), alway noted on the GWR Paddington to Swansea Service during the 70/80's in BR Blue standard livery, I believe it was painted in GWR Green for the 150 GWR Celebrations in Late 1984 Early 1985 , I saw it at OOC open day in September 1985 where there was a few of Class 47 in Green & a Class 50 in Green & many BR Class 50's on the depot along with a vast of loco's present, they were the days for the Rail Enthusiast's.

Hi Andrew. I haven't commented before but just wanted to say thanks for the time and trouble you take making this ( and all your videos). Ive been living in Northern Ireland for some 30 years and rarely get home. You're doing what I did in my younger days, rail trips to exactly the same places. So Im reliving it through your eyes. ( On a much modernised network) Your presentation is great very relaxed Its like having a day out with your mate . Never underestimate the power of u tube. Or the pleasure you're bringin to this now 60 year old 👍👍👍 . Cheers .... Mitch .. p.s I was still using Dore station in the mid 80's when it was singled . Thought at the time it was a stupid decision... Nice to be proved right 😋
