You don't have to be blood to be a Father. I've known my 3rd foster dad for 19 years. Because of the abuse I went through at the hands of my biological father, it took me 17 years to trust my foster dad enough to know that he won't hurt me too. I'm 28 now and I haven't seen or spoken to my biological father in 20 years, but I know that I'm way BETTER off WITHOUT him. And I have a much BETTER man in my life to call my Dad. Growing up after I was placed in foster care I was always jealous seeing other kids have Dads that cared about them.
