  No the last generation of the Veloster was the 2021, with that being said a lot of people(me included) can’t buy a 2021 or a newer one since they are a bit more expensive. I am praising this generation !

  No, make sure to attach it well. I noticed it was easier to start on the side where it goes into the engine. Makes it much easier to get the seals 100%

  @@Chaair I was making 300 hp. Stock block. I had 112,000 miles. Oil changes done every 2000 miles. Muffler delete, k&n exhaust. Oil catch can. The whole thing. Bought it at 64,000. Tuned it immediately after inspection. If you plan on keeping the car. De-tune and get forged internals. Otherwise it’s toast. First sign is noticeably short oil changes. Barely anything in the pan & and black oil coming from the dipstick. I highly suggest visiting a local Hyundai repair service and look inside. All engines being worked on. I say this out of a place of concern. Not to hate. I loved my vt to death. Just not worth a blown motor

These motors cannot handle that stock internals. I’m only pushing 250 and I drive like a grandpa most of the time. I’ll definitely keep an eye out tho thanks for the warning

  The 2013 models are by far the worst Velosters you can buy. If you have a '16-'17, you should be fine.

  You could purchase the he shifter bushings kit from Add-W1, it’s not to expensive and u could do an install on them. I just did it and it feels nice 😊

  I actually painted mine with a thick matte black paint, it’s fairly flat and not complex so wrapping it would be a breeze the only thing “hard” would be the break light but it’s pretty flat on the bottom and top so it should be simple enough

  If I’m remembering correctly it was about $250 for the actual time and my tuner also had the upgraded spark plugs for $100 so overall it was $350 since you need the plugs for the tune! Would you like his contact info?

  It’s not too bad, with just this exhaust, I mean it’s not even that much louder to be honest. The drone is VERY minimal and cruising in 6th gear on highways is almost not even noticeable. You can still have a convo with someone and listen to music just fine

  bud if you have an aftermakret intake unplug the bov return pipe running to the intake and just cap off the part from the intake youll get that same sound and just push the pipe under the radiator hose you wont hurt anything with it being open because its a return

  I’ve done that before and it does not sound nearly as loud as this plate. It is a cheap alternative tho, I also noticed a slight reduction in the amount of air being sucked into the aftermarket CAI.

  It would most definitely affect…effect? Idk which one lol but it would change ever so slightly because of less air going coming in meaning the A&F ratio is off. Now will it be noticeable probably not but with the tune you can absolutely tell the difference as it runs sluggish with less air. With all this being said I did install this as it was a viewer request!

  Dont do it, unless you get a good tune, also you need to upgrade the throttle body with one from the genesis 2.0. Plug/cap the 2 collant lines that go to the throttle body the new one wont need them. After that, do a throttle relearn. Then make sure your tune is correct.. your ecu will not compensate for the extra air and you will ruin that engine. Im on my third engine, forth transmission. So word to the wise. Do not beat on this car at all. They have very weak engine bearings and they will wear massively even with 3000 mile oil changes and regular top off. I would also install a catch can. But make sure you route it right and buy the vented oil cap.

  This only applies to the older G4FJ Gamma engines I think that’s 2013 and before, I ran the intake with no tune, no throttle body upgrade, no plugged coolant lines. My ECU definitely compensated for the extra air no problem. If you beat on ANY car it’s gonna mess up faster, but if you’re casually driving most of the time and only go hard every now and again. For me I wouldn’t bother for new engines with the car I don’t think it would be worth it. As of right now I have a tune, oil catch can, and more upgrades too. If you’d like you may check them out as I have videos of the work done. Lmk if I’m wrong on anything but this is my experience

  Would you ever opt into getting the GFB DVX diverter valve, it sits just on your intercooler like the bov sound plate, from other forte and veloster users, they said they feel better acceleration. I am getting one for my Kia forte5 sx soon.

  i have a 2014 vt with an exhaust and k&n intake which is loud 24/7, as loud as your spacer. what intake u have just curious? never did bov or spacer cuz turbo/intake is already loud and removed hood vent covers

  Yes so my intake is super loud too it’s the “AF Dynamic” open intake. When your driving it the intake lets you hear the turbo spin and now the spacer lets you hear it “pshhh” louder. Honestly kinda sounds like a bigger turbo lol

  @@Chaair the bypass valve failed on mine before so it would have compressor surge/flutter sound when letting off. sounds cool but supposedly not good for turbo so i replaced it. i think if you pull a vacuum line off the bypass itll make the sound too

  @beetleboys your exactly right, I had a check engine because I didn’t align the slot form the spacer and the OEM plate. Once I realized that I reinstalled in the correct orientation and boom CeL is gone!

  the biggest issue I have with mine right now is that once it's warmed up, it likes to idle way down around 650 rpms which then causes my belt to start squealing. Also sometimes turns off my amp and dims my lights. I'm really not sure what's causing it to do that, but while i'm driving everything works beautifully. I have a cold air intake, and fresh plugs and coils, but that's about it. I did a couple carbon cleaning treatments about 500 miles apart after I got it because i'm fairly sure the previous owners hadn't. I have a 60mm throttle body i'm going to try on it as soon as the weather warms up a bit, but after that maybe a tune and exhaust would fix the idle problem.

  Could be an electrical problem, cus if the lights dim usually that means something not getting enough power. Try some electrical tests and see if that helps

The sound of our cars are so unique bro, and honestly.. in my opinion, it’s the best sounding car in the world. Especially with the mods you have on your car bro. 😎 (just imagine how amazing that would sound)

  It’s actually the stock BOV, I installed a BOV sound plate! Usually for the 1.5L civic si but, it fits the 1.6l gamma turbos! Video in it soon!

  In 6th gear it’s pretty tame, you can hear it a little but you can still hear your music and have a conversation. Droning is very very minimal.

  @@emirsaidov6024 yes under 3.5k rpms, my tune is also set to only pop and bang at 4k rpms. Anything under that tends to be calm burbles. Good daily exhaust cus it’s only loud when you push it definitely recommend!

  Older G4FJ Gamma engines had weaker connecting rods (2012-2013). Have first hand experience with it blowing up. Wasn't doing a pull, just driving back home from work, turn out of an intersection and engine blew out, punched a hole through the block, had to replace it.

  Love your videos! You should look into getting a blowoff sound plate. I got one for my 2015 VT and it’s perfectly loud for my liking. And best of all it’s very inexpensive! It’s for the newer civic Si but it fits perfectly on our VT’s. 👍
