41 years a contractor pouring as much as 1,100 yards of concrete in a day. ... impressive attention to detail and the work. You and your crew can be rightfully proud.

Looks great! What was the cost? I just got a price of $29,200 to pour my 2250 sq ft basement. Trying to find something to compare with.

Nice idea with that form truck ! We used to haul around 4 footers in a 20ft box truck. Cab n chassis with form racks for the 8 foot forms (Rapid Forms) back in the mid 1980’s.

Good job and final result! But I think that the thickness of the wall does not work fully structural. Rods reinforcement installed in the center, not closer to the slope, where it works better in tension and the entire thickness of the concrete works in compression, because the overturning force will be from the slope.

How do you determine the thickness of the walls to know that it can withstand a hardcore tornado and the debris it throws around? I like what you’re doing but terrified of tornadoes, do I have to ask. Thank you

Why? You still have to insulate. Why not just use ICF blocks?

If you were doing a walkout basement with only two of the sides retaining dirt and the other two sides wood stick framed would do a retaining style wall similar to this instead of a traditional basement wall?

You guys have the ability to do domed concrete roofs and rounded walls or just square walls? Talking about monolithic poured concrete.

Minimal straightning to do with aluminiums. These dudes didnt even brace anything. Good trades can hide unsquare walls anyways

  • @PhuryousOne

Nobody ever taught you to pre-straighten your walls prior to pouring? No hard hats either? That's only a matter of time. Hardly professional. More like beginner/novice.
