It was nice to watch you paint, and the soundtrack was relaxing as well. ☺️ Your painting turned out beautiful! I can help if you want any tips on how to properly frame them so that they’re archival, and will last through the years. You probably know that Studio Ghibli uses Nicker poster paints? I just got a set and am super stoked to try them, hopefully soon! Normally speaking I think poster paints are considered a lower grade, for instance Reeves. But I’m not so sure Nicker are a low grade, it would be great if someone with knowledge on the subject could speak to it. Are you aware that there are some Studio Ghibli painters who post videos of themselves painting here on KZread? They are awesome to watch, and one thing I noticed they do that I haven’t seen others do, is painting on paper which is placed on glass. And it’s on glass because they wet both the front and back surfaces of the paper (and they keep wetting it throughout), in order to paint their backgrounds wet on wet. I haven’t seen enough yet to know if wet on wet is used every time, though. The time and effort these artists put into their paintings is almost as amazing as their finished results. Having said that, you’re only shown the backgrounds, not characters, at least not any I’ve seen so far. .

I love how you managed to turn a complex ghibli scene into something that can be drawn with the limited posca colour palette. That's not an easy thing to do. Watching you draw is very soothing, and I love the result. 😊 Also, I recently discovered paper for acrylic paints. It's super smooth and works amazingly with poscas. No pilling, and the colours turn out even more vibrant. My pad is from the brand Edding, but I'm sure others work similarly. ☘️
