    Hi Valentina, thank you for your video. Currently, I am applying for a master’s degree at Tu Darmstadt. However, I am a little bit confuse about the process. So, I would like to ask you some questions. First, I am little bit confused with the “grade of your qualification university entrance”. Is this related to the final GPA from my high school? I am confused, since in the application my bachelor’s degree GPA has not been asked. Th second question is related to the documents, since I haven’t submitted my application yet, I don’t know where I must send the documents. So, I would like to ask you if after I submit my application, they will give me this information. I appreciate your help, thank you so much.

    hi unfortunately, i can't say for sure that you will be enrolled or not.. you can check requirements for application on TUD website. for me it was that minimum IELTS grade should be 6.5. but it can vary from program to program and could also change since that time... also here in germany they use another grade system, so you need to use a calculator (you can also just google it) and then see which "german" cgpa you have, for me it was 2.2. I would say if you think that you pass the requirements you should always try and apply🙂 i mean you will not loose anything if you just send your application and documents wish your luck with application!! hi i think finding a job depends on your profession a lot, for example there are indeed many positions for engineers and computer science people, but in other areas it can take more time to find. Also very important factor is german. If you know the language at least at B1 level it' significantly increases your possibilities because of course there are less english-speaking positions . you can easily find "students", low-quality job at some supermarket, H&M or other shop. But if you want to have job in your area you should spend more time and effort. you can search online on Linkedin or Indeed, also there is a website for TUD and Hochshule Darmstadt students: www.stellenwerk.de/darmstadt/ i used it and found one previous job there. also there are many offers actually on the walls in university, you can just go and look there :) hmm, my favourine supermakets are netto, penny and aldi. i find them very good ^^. also i made a video about saving money on groceries shopping, you can watch it as well, can be helpful: kzread.info/dash/bejne/p4yLqZWHdcmwcbA.htmlsi=v-wfY18bNxqDsrA3 also, i remember video by another creator such as "ultimate guide to german supermakets" i find it also good: kzread.info/dash/bejne/maWDx9aRqL2toMY.htmlsi=DTktb2Qgp4P54P8O so, i hope this is helpful ^^

  • @Valentina_Pris
    @Valentina_Pris6 ай бұрын

    Hi! To tell the truth, there are not so many Master of Arts programs at TU Darmstadt (and I think even fewer at h_da Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences). I can definitely say that two MAs, 'Data and Discourse Studies' and 'Linguistik and Literary Computing,' are far from traditional American and English Studies (because the first one is mine, and I know many people from the second one). Therefore, there is no way to compare them with MA in Marburg or etc. since the programs focus on different things. There are several programs such as Philosophy, History, and one or two more, but nothing connected with Literary Studies. So, I am not sure that you can compare the MA from Darmstadt with other cities that you mentioned, as there is no similar option here. I hope I understood your question correctly 😅

    @@mohamedgoulmekki6395 Oh, a really good but hard question at the same time. First of all, I'm not a hiring manager 😅, so I will share just my experience and some knowledge from conversations with other students. Many say that your degree is not the main factor in getting a job. Many employers focus on your experience and skills that you already have. So, what I mean is that if there are two persons with the same MA from different universities, employers will still compare them according to the additional skills that they have. Unfortunately, I do not know a lot about MA programs in Marburg, Regensburg, or Potsdam. I can only guess that Potsdam is near Berlin, and in Berlin, there is a higher probability to find English-speaking jobs in comparison to other regions in Germany. But that is also all I can say for now...(

I filled out the online form, printed it, and printed copies of my documents (translated into English and certified with the official seal of the notary), then I send them in paper form by post to the university. For the second part of the question, I attached the following to my application: 1. School leaving certificate with all grades (in my native language with the notary seal and translated into English also with the seal). 2. Bachelor's degree certificate (which was already translated into English by my bachelor university). 3. IELTS certificate Btw, in other programs, even at TU Darmstadt, they may ask for additional documents, such as a motivation letter or a table listing all the subjects from your previous education with the credit points of each

  • @Valentina_Pris
    @Valentina_Pris7 ай бұрын

    Hi, thank you for your question :) Firstly, universities in Germany are generally associated with academia, so there isn’t a lot of emphasis on practical experience there. Usually, employers prefer to see internships on your resume, proving that you’ve gained practical experience, if you’re studying at a university (Universität) compared to Hochschule. From my experience, there’s a higher dropout rate for bachelor's programs compared to master's, and it also depends on your field of study. For example, in the medical and computer science fields, there’s indeed a high dropout rate, unfortunately. :( However, in my field it’s not in this way, because probably it isn’t as popular or challenging, and I can’t claim that there’s a high dropout rate in Germany overall for EVERY field.
