    It needs 2 inputs. So people can connect an external DAC for digital sources and also connect a turntable phono stage/preamp since vinyl collecting has been on the rise here in USA. Don’t know about Europe and Asia

    Don't get me wrong, I like Aiyima audio and use a modified A07 in my main system... but... I don't see any plan here. Most of these mini-amps appear to be random designs rather than equipment that can be used in combinations to build convenient and economical systems.

    Is this tube pre or just buffer?

  • @aiyimaaudio8133

    Is it true that the total harmonic distortion is 0.23% ?? How could it be so high?

  • @MichaelBeeny
    @MichaelBeeny16 күн бұрын

    Probably because the signal path goes via a 6186 an RF valve. Most gain is via the NE5532 which has a very low THD. All the valve does is add noise, make the frequency range poor and add lots of THD (the so-called valve sound) As the THD figure does not state at what frequency that was measured, it is meaningless, but you can be sure it is probably at 1Khz, they are not brave (or honest) enough to offer say, 10Khz. Where the THD could be considerably higher. If you like an accurate sound, don't include valves in your preamp. If you like a warm, muddy and no detail kind of sound, a valve included circuit is fine. Just seems odd to me to pay money to have an otherwise good preamp downgraded with a valve. You could save money and just put cotton wool in your ears. Note this preamp has 10 times the THD of a good main amplifier. The 6186 valve is made for RF work it is NOT a good choice for audio, a better choice would be EF86 a valve made specially for audio (not a replacement in this circuit however) They use RF valves, because they are surplus and cheap.

    I don't understand why the Chinese manufacturers cannot do a proper crossover section. It's simple, a variable crossover that splits anything above the point to the main speakers and everything below the point to the subwoofer. And with a good range like 40hz to 200hz. The range on this unit is utterly useless.

    Темброблок по НЧ сделан отвратительно. Чтобы он зазвучал нужно менять емксоть конденсаторов, что я и сделал. Сдвинул подъем НЧ в область 30-40 Гц, а в стоке в районе 350 Гц, из-за чего он бубнит.
