    Top and bottom? Install for my 2018 shows just bottom so I've never bothered or paid attention that one could fit up top as well. On the side though for the guide pins, rather than the circle locking method keep pin there, there is a long rod going from top to bottom pin that prevents rattle making the items installed here obsolete or just an extra shield against rattle Just did mine tho and getting a pop noise so Im jacking it back up in a sec

    hi can i use this to recharge a dead battery?

  • @chip-load
    @chip-loadАй бұрын

    If your battery voltage is less than 3 volts the low amp Battery Tender (Brand) charger will not turn on. It does that to protect itself. Other brands may work and start charging regardless of your Battery state. Best to download the manual for the charger you are using to know for sure. They all act differently.

    I put each piston at TDC and used berryman b12 and wooden dowels to scrube the tough spots for pistons still in the block. Then when 99% done a wrag to final wipe with some brake clean to remove residue

    Man it’s a lot more difficult on the 4wd, did one yesterday the axle is all in the way. Think the passenger side seemed little harder than the drivers side on the 4wd

    Color is the worse indicator for an oil change. It is about TBN, pH, metals... Just change the oil every 5-7K.

    Oh my god dude! The job of the oil is to clean the motor. It gets dirty right after the oil change. Forget this video and change your oil somewhere between 3000 and 5000 miles. Always change it at least once a year. Never let it get more than one quart low. Those are the basics.

    It usually stays clear or an amber color for some time. Color is a good indication it is saturated with contaminants and time for a flush. It also good to check all fluid levels.

    @@DracoDoesIt ok this is what I mean and this covers coil internal combustion engine valve springs made from metal. Your spring pressure will be or take the chance of inaccurate pressure readings if you don't fatigue the spring first or less accurate reading a lot less. In a performance application it's mandatory but not for a factory rebuild but you will come out with a better quality rebuild per every spring manufacturer that actually makes the spring. I'm surprised that service manual doesn't mention the fatigue step could be a typo.

    I suggest to torque the bolt of the lower bushing when the car is on the ground. When you torque it when the wheel is in the air it will cause the bushing to flex when you drop the car and shorten it's life.

    Never, never, never never, never never, never never, never never, never never, never never, never (oh, did I mention NEVER) lift the wiper arm up without firstly protecting a VERY expensive windshield from a drop of the heavy metal wiper arm). Use a towel or piece of sizable cardboard sheet against the windshield, testing it with the area against the glas, but not letting it snap back.

  • @DracoDoesIt

    Yeah unless you have some special car or type of carbon fiber hood. this is the way

  • @ohnemar4285
    @ohnemar42858 ай бұрын

    There are cars that says the opposite because they don't have stoppers and the hood is light... it is written into the car manual, which explicitly says 'Do not drop it, pull it down easily and at certain points push it gently'. Always read your manual!
