  this happens because the gear's handle gets anchored with the freeze kill effect, any tool the player equipped is also applied the kill effect and since when you equip you have an equip animation whoever the tool is anchored and only can stay in its position the character gets the tool and it stays on the backpack on the same position, it moves due to the equip animation vertically and depending of the first faced angle

  this is a very easy fix since cheed can just blacklist parts with his parent being a tool in the kill effect descendant loop
