What did you do to your foot (walking cast). Get better soon. West Cobb County, Acworth is nice. The further you get out from the city more bang for the buck. We are exploring Paulding Country, just to the West of Cobb County, and even part of Bartow County, but still within striking distance of Acworth. Our daughter lives just inside Paulding County in the Bentworth Golf Community. Acworth has some good restaurants. And along Rt 41 in Northwest Cobb County is a lot of great shopping and dining. Wife and I are heading back down in a few weeks to house-site, baby-sit, and dog-sit. And then again in July. And of course do some more exploring of the area.

Parking is a total rip off. A parking pass costs over $40 now. For $2.50 you can take the #12 Marta bus from the Midtown Station to the Cumberland Transfer Center. It's a 25 minute walk to the Battery from there.

Appreciate the advice and video. But the Atl’s housing “shortage” seems manufactured. I can drive 20 minutes in ANY direction from downtown and see multiple suburbs with plenty of houses completed empty houses that are not on the market. The amount triples when you are in the greater Atlanta area. It just seems like an underhanded way of keeping housing cost high
im in south Atl. I agree. houses are sitting on the market for months. i don't see no shortage. and plenty of new subdivisions getting built.

Good info. 100% agree. We're almost 4 million homes short nationwide. Add that to the fact that Atlanta is becoming more and more of a magnet city....which means we have MORE demand here than many other cities. RIGHT NOW is the best time to buy.....before home prices continue to escalate and before rates come down (you'll refi when they do if you buy now) and you have to compete with 10 other people to buy a home. If you want a lower price and better odds of getting a home....this is your opportunity.
