@@irydionlover ah, it's been a looooong time since i edited anything animated, don't think i have the juice for it anymore (even though animated series are what i watch the most tbh)... this got me thinking about the fact i used to mainly edit anime (and that was back in the old days of yt) and now i feel old lol but i'll be here to watch anything else you make in that department :) (lmk if you find those interesting... though if oyu want a bit of a fantasy element to this type of setting and story then i recommend dororo and hakuouki for sure)

Tudors were deranged. I mean look at what that fanatic Margaret Beaufort created??? Henry VIII. The paranoid tyrant who killed his own wives. He definitely got the genes & traits of mental illness of Margaret beaufort. Looks at the parallells of Elizabeth Woodville and Anne Boleyn. Look how Edward IV treated his wife and how Henry VIII treated his????? Richard III was the best. Plantagenets should have continued. Tudors had 0 claim. Margaret beaufort most likely have the children killed...no doubt.. Jonathan Rhy Myers's Henry VIII was definitely a fitting grandson of fanatic Margaret Beaufort. NOW lets compare the show The Tudors to White Queen. White queen is far far far superior to that tasteless show called The Tudors. White queen has depth, emotions, taste and art. The tudor is plain vulgar show. Even here Yorks win. I mean look at the portrayal of relationships? Look how rich and deep and honest was relationship between Richard III and Anne? You don't have to feed the audience a lot of sex to establish the depth of a relationship. A simple, real and honest story, script, direction and acting is enough. The Tudors has nothing in it but empty scenes after empty scenes except when Henry VIII chops of heads of almost everyone who trusted him..that's just what was the result of a tyrannical mentally ill king. He had 0 traits from his grandfather, Edward IV.

If you don't mind a more mature-themed animated show with a fair amount of sex and violence, BES is *such* a great watch though, I can't recommend it enough. I love the idea of these two together to bits (as I probably made quite clear here xD to speak of things we both know, I guess they are a bit Jaime/Brienne coded? Taimizu is definitely more unhinged though imho 😆) but the characters and the themes of the story are just really well-written individually, so to limit the show to only ship discourse would be reductive to the whole (just as it was for GOT -when it was still good- ). I have little doubt it will continue to provide inspiration, fingers crossed 🤞

@@naydenlover I found someone pointing out the parallel between Taizu and Braime completely at random on the internet while looking up BES content (op you are a genius!), and the more I think about it the more I CANNOT unsee it honestly, it's absolutely sending me?? Taigen and Jaime being these complete a*holes when you meet them (who both can't help their big mouth and smartass tendencies when in conversation), but then you discover they have a deep sense of honour and they are helpful _in spite_ of personal gain and you start to completely re-evaluating them...and Mizu and Brienne, these masculine-presenting warrior women who have to relearn how to be vulnerable and accept that they are women, too. If they end up giving these two a similar trainwreck of an ending it will break me (I am still *so* upset over that -and Jaime's general character arc assassination- as well! One of D&D's worst s8 crimes for sure 😤). Hopefully this doesn't go too much into detail for you but it _does_ contribute to piquing your interest for the show 👀 I promise it would be time well-invested 😊

I honestly cannot agree with Zutara and Reylo being remotely the same. And I'm not a fan of EITHER ship. At the very least, Zutara makes sense - Reylo never made sense.
We will obviously have to disagree there. I totally get not liking either of them (to each their own, right?) and of course they are never going to be 1:1, but I don't think two ships that aren't "remotely" the same would show this many thematic parallels between them or allow anyone to pull off an entire video surrounding said parallels. What I do think is that it's perhaps easier to empathise with Zuko than it is with Ben, since ATLA being a series and exploring his POV from the get go, even with solo episodes, puts the viewer in his shoes more (and since someone decided to leave crucial ST backstory to comics and other media only...). So yeah, agree to disagree 🤷♀️

Mi sembra così strano che sia passato così tanto tempo da quando questo capolavoro -e queste due tragic twin souls- ci ha distrutto per la prima volta i cuoricini, ma una cosa è sicura: non fa mai meno male di allora (e di certo i comics di "continuazione" che nel frattempo sono usciti non è che abbiano aiutato molto, non so se li hai mai sbirciati ma io ne ho scoperto l'esistenza mentre lavoravo a questo video e sono rimasta NUOVAMENTE traumatizzata). È davvero tragico che proprio quella frase abbia finito per definire il loro intero percorso insieme 😭 anche se, al tempo stesso, senza queste loro parti "peggiori" probabilmente non si sarebbero mai incontrati e innamorati e quindi, in un certo senso, dal male è nato anche qualcosa di meraviglioso, totalmente umano e per nulla mostruoso...le devastanti ambivalenze di PD 💔 All in all, grazie davvero per il commento sempre carinissimo! Hii I just checked out your channel after seeing your comment on my freylin edit and omg you’ve got so many cool edits! I’m another pretty big telltale fan (the walking dead games specifically are like my fav thing ever even tho I haven’t seen the walking dead show) and it’s so cool seeing one of the Batman telltale games since I haven’t rlly seen many. Bruce and Selina have always been one of my favourite ships in all fictional media (I loved them in all the comics,shows,movies, and the Arkham games) and while I haven’t played all of Batman telltale (I’ve played the first Ep only since it was free) I defo do intend to play it eventually since these versions of them seem to good This edit absolutely slays by the way. I love the scenes, text, etc. it’s all so perfect!

I'm glad you could find stuff you like, and so happy to see we also have Telltale in common ❤️ (I haven't played TWD yet, but I'm still very heartbroken over the fact they never finished their GOT game -and likely never will- ;_;). Batcat is probably my favourite comic book ship as well! They just play off each other so well, and each and every version brings amazing chemistry and interesting variations to their dynamic. I can definitely recommend playing both seasons of Batman if you ever feel like continuing it -- besides the Batcat goodness (there's a lot more than what I could include here with just a couple eps out!), I also loved their spin on several iconic characters like Harvey Dent and especially the Joker; the latter is very original and outcomes can vary a *lot* from playthrough to playthrough. Possibly one of my favourite versions of him!

Rn I’ve got like a bunch of other games on my list to play but after that I’m defo planning on doing it since the batman fan in me feels like I’m missing out by not playing the telltale games lmao. I know TWD is probably Telltale's most popular game for a reason, so it's kind of heresy not to have played it yet as a fan xD I definitely plan to, although by now I got a few things spoiled for myself. But experiencing the game firsthand is sure to give me all the sweet trauma 100x all the same 😆 They did finish the season of TTGOT at least! But it ended on a pretty depressing note and on somewhat of a cliffhanger on all story fronts :( and now that the show has ended -with quite the backlash on that dreadful s8- I cannot really see them continuing it. Which makes me super sad since I ended up being more invested in the Forresters than the Starks :') I hope you enjoy the games you have on your schedule, and eventually Batman too then! If any of it sparks your vidding muse I will love to see it pop on my feed 💫
