  I use acrylic ink with a dipping pen or with a fine paintbrush. My top tip is always to decant the ink into 15ml/half-ounce bottles then i can dip away without the droppers getting in the way. I use black acrylic ink a lot, it's like indian ink except it flows better and will not smudge if you brush colours over the top.

  I haven't done heat embossing on fabric and wouldn't have known to use gel medium beforehand! A big project in the works might entail using some cloth so your tips are very timely!

  You asked for thoughts. I am wondering about using clear embossing with stamps , or embossing ink pen and stencils (no primer) as a resist and then the fabric dipped in a dye. That is, using clear embossing resist instead of wax. I will try it tomorrow. thanks for your trials.

  Hi, I am afraid I don't know, I've only ever tried it on calico and denim. But I would guess that the more textured the fabric the harder it would be to stamp on it. I only use it for mixed media art and I would not recommend the technique for clothes you would want to wear.

  This is brilliant!! I'm making junk journals for my granddaughters and wanted to emboss some butterflies I made from denim. I tried yesterday and the results were disappointing. I'm SO GRATEFUL to have found your video!! Off to buy Golden Regular Gel Gloss!!
