Hello folks. I'm Scott Grove Of Groovymusiclessons.com The purpose of my channel is to teach a lot of free lessons on multiple instruments, urge you to visit my regular site for the best in paid lessons. I do tons of instrument reviews and mostly, I like to stir things up in the music world. Most people are very uninformed on the FACTS pertaining to all things musical, the just love to teach. I've been a touring musician for many years and want to pass on what I've learned along the way. I hope you have fun with the videos, lessons and humor.

I appreciate that! You're WAY too groovy.
I am an old school musician and have the exact same EuroPower 2000. It is indeed a great little machine and you did a very nice job explaining how to use it. I even learned a few new things myself. Thank you
Thanks, you too! I'm glad you appreciate these little puppies.
Lol
Thank you Scott great video we appreciate it. We support your channel
Hello Scott loving the country walking bass lessons mate . I’m still learning the root 5th and trying to get my head around what each note is and remembering them , I’ve down loaded the Nashville number system also . I’m making progress on your I think 1 and 9 uploads on country bass lessons . I love country music and would love to play along to stuff like Waylon Jennings , Merle haggard . Hank Williams and willie Nelson . Anyway brother I hope you upload more country bass lessons . In the meantime I’m just going over your 1 and 9 bass lessons , any other tips you can give me buddy ? I’m also teaching my self mainly the major scales like C , G , D , F ones . Any other suggestions would be much appreciated mate . Hope to hear from you soon Scott . Take care . 🤘
Have just seen one of these for sale locally. Really great review. I might just go and buy it. You confirm my thoughts on blade pickups compared with pole pieces pickups. Thanks again.
Awesome lesson, Scott. You are the best!
Great lesson, Scott!
I think I like the sound of a Ukulele better and it’s easier to play and they cost a lot less. Wetting the pick to help it stick! That’s a keeper. I’ve watched hundreds of lessons on guitar and never seen that tip. Thanks 🤙
Kudos for explaning it that simple, used to be able to play melodies on a chromatic, but watching and playing along to this video made be able to jam along in propper blues style with the track at the end with my D harp. 🫶 I need to work on getting faster for the train blues style though.
LIQUID GOLD REISSUED: BROTHER. THANK YOU!!!
Hey Brian, many thanks! Yeah, making some of the oldies visible finally.
How do Scott my man? You should do some videos of you traveling to your gigs and stuff like you used to do with most wanted. I really enjoy this end. I hope all is well with you partner and keep it garoovy
Great idea. I'll do that for you. I didn't know if anyone really watched those. All is groovy on this end and I hope the same for you!!!
Hey man ! Where ya been ? Glad to see you still around bud 😎
I've been busy learning a TON of songs for my newest band and rehearsing for the rodeo season that will be coming up soon. Thanks for checking in.
Thank you, teacher!
Always my pleasure.
I heard you blow a lot of notes!
I blow with the best of them. lol
Scott, you look 15 years younger!!!!
Yeah, hard drugs and alcohol tend to do that to me. lol
Great lesson from the Way Back Machine Mr. Peabody. Bought that and my 70s Aria Pro II mando and had big fun. Had those books w the traditional Bluegrass mega stretch chords and am sure that is why few people play this great investment.
Thanks my brother. Yeah, WAY back for sure. I remember those books that made things WAY too hard. 2 finger chords are fine and dandy with me for sure.
You always help me get to another level, Mr. Scott and I appreciate your lessons big time. Today, you retrofitted the ol starship with the dilithium crystals, brother..Bravo Dude!
Thanks so much my friend. Love the Star Trek reference.
Mr you teach to the child in all of us in the importance of enjoyment. 🎸You break it all down and make music 🎶 easier
Thanks Ed !!! It''s all about having fun for sure. Not many of us will become stars, so I like to gear things to those of us that just need a little push to enjoy the ride.
I belive this is an old video he used to sell on his website. Thanks Dr. Groovy! You rock!
Cool, thanks! Yeah, it's from back when I was young and pretty. lol
Really Really cool! Love it!
Thanks so much!
how old is this video? 15 years?
Yeah, this one has been around for a while. I finally decided to upload it.
Miss ya man. Hope you're doing well in this crazy world. Thanks for all the lessons over the years! I've learned a hell of a lot from you.
Glad to hear it! Yeah, all is going great and I hope the same for you. So happy when something I do actually helps.
@@groovydjs You're more loved than you know brother.
Hi Scott, nice to see your upload, but: is this a reposting of a lesson from a loooooong time ago? I was just wondering how you're doing - I hope you're OK!
Howdy my old friend, great to hear from you. This is an old lesson that I used to have for sale on my website that is defunct. Everything is fine and dandy here, thanks so much!
@@groovydjs Fine and dandy, that's great to hear! Last time I heard from you, you weren't doing so well - but that was years ago. Glad things are going better!
What’s your drug? You look so young 🤙
Lately...Monster drinks. lol
Nice! Now I’m gonna be saying “thoy” all day 😂😂
LMAO. Yeah, I think I coined that little word.
Excellent lesson, Scott! Grrovy lesson! Thanks very much!
Thanks brother!!!
Stunning! Thanks very much, Dr Groovy!
My pleasure my friend. Thank you.
Most excellent, as usual! Thanks very much, Dr Groovy!
My pleasure!
Good to see you still doing this after all these years. The algorithm finally gave me a video of yours without searching for them.
Many thanks! KZread actually worked in my favor for once. WOOHOO !!!
Hi Scott, what a coincidece; I was just thinking about you! How have you been lately?
shut up and play your guitar ! You talk too much !
Two years old , and I’m just seeing this ! Great way to teach this song ! Thank you
My pleasure! Thanks for writing in and letting me know that you liked it.
So talented! Thank you for sharing your knowledge/ talent.
You are too kind! I'm glad you enjoyed the video and the licks. I hope you can add some of them to your playing.
Hi Scott , just wanted to say I really dig your bass lessons, I’m a beginner , I’ve had my bass for about 3 months and out of all the lessons I’ve seen tried on KZread you are the only person I feel I am making some progress especially the country bass lesson and the 12 bar blues lesson . Your teaching is brilliant and valuable to me Also wanted to ask will you be doing more bass lessons on either country or blues which I love . Thank you so much Scott .I really hope to hear from you . Greetings from Australia 🤘
Hello, I'm glad that you resonate with the lessons! I hope you check out my walking bass lessons too. I'll do some more of these for you. It's just as fun for me to make them. Glad to have an Aussie in the house! Keep on playing and never stop. Gotta get you in a band and have some REAL fun.
@@groovydjs oh thank you Scott , will do mate I spend hours on your bass lessons . I look forward to your next upload . Thanks again buddy .
That guitar is sick i want a white fretboard now
Thank you very much! I love this axe. I had seen an Ibanez back in the 80's that had a red fretboard and when it came time to have something built for myself...I had to go with the white. Since I had it done, I've seen it done on a few different guitars now. Thanks again and stay groovy Bobby.
U explain things well scot
Thank you very much. I'm glad that you liked it. Stay groovy.
LEGEND
You are way too kind. Thank you!!
Ahh... the 12 string.... half your time tuning the darn thing and the other half of your time playing out of tune!
Yeah, they can be a pain in the butt for sure. I've found that carbon fiber 12 strings are really good at not bending or the bridges lifting. The Rainsong and Emerald 12 strings really perform well.
These wete are grest instruments. The country pkayers knew it when they came out
Yeah, everybody from Conway to Jerry Reed to Carl Perkins picked right up on them out of the gate.
Super video, well done man!!! Subscribed right away!! Greetings from Spain!!
Thanks for the sub! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm wishing you all the best in the Olympics as well !!! Stay groovy.
Wonderful
Thank you very much. Cheers!
This was worth watching for me i never thought about it and the guitar fedls odd when i put a strap on it and stand. I think i know why now. Johnny Cash didn't change his from looking over at the fret board😂😂😂
Cool, glad you dug it. Yeah, Johnny wore his right under his chin there for a good while. lol
I loved this guitar solo. It put a smile on my face! I'm new to learning to play country western. I particularly want to kearn to play 50s and 60s country and rockabilly guitar. I mentioned in a comment on one ofbyour other videos that I love the Leon Rhodes (spelling???) Billie Bird stuff with Ernest Tubb and the Texas Trupadeurs. I'd love to learn the lead parts to "Thanks A lot.". I love all the Grady Martin and Hank Garland, Paul Yandell stuff. I love Johnny Horton's rockabilly years with Grady Martin playing these really tough sounding licks. Anyway, any lessons with stuff like that I would love! Either way, I love what you do and I am so grateful for your channel!
Thanks so much for both of your comments and for enjoying the channel! I'll be happy to release some stuff like you are talking about. Groovy pickers for sure.
I got the first two licks down and I'm looking forward to getting the third. This is empowering stuff right here! Hey, I'm looking to cover some Ernest Tubb stuff, could do a lesson on some Leon Rhodes (sp?) and Billie Bird licks? I love your channel!
Hey Scott! 2024! Do yyou see this comment?
Nope, I don't see it. lol
How can I hook up effect for vocal when I need Aux1-5 for monitors. Is there a way to use aux 6 as the effects and have each vocal channel have the effects needed?channel
I just bought the hss Strat style with jackson style headstock. I bought it for the neck. It’s a really nice maple neck/fretboard. I got it for $69.
I typed green river groove! 👍
