Whats amazing to me is that the A-26 served into the late 60’s with the USAF in Vietnam, along with the C-47! Absolutely astounding! 😎😎😎

Very nice Aircraft with 6 , .50 cal machine guns along with 2 Pratt and Whitney R 2800 Wasp motors ,this plane flew in 3 Wars ,also 3 Variants of this exists ,some planes had Guns on the nose ,and some planes had guns in a pod under the wings ,due to its power and light weight ,this plane could carry a huge payload of Bombs

@@lonzo61 I totally agree. I bought a DVD called Reunion of Giants when the Canadian Lancaster flew to England and performed several flights with the RAF Lancaster. Those two bombers flying together with 8 Merlins is absolute music. :)

its easy to see how all the WW2 large planes were shot down with machine guns from the ground. Its a shame that even in the late 60,s early 70,s old fighters and bombers were still being cut up in scrap yards and even into the early 1980,s they were being found in remote countries sitting in fields allmost complete. NOBODY wanted them.

Was at Binbrook from 1972 to 1977 those were the days every one just got on together from all trades, the rugby club was some thing else as well how the game should be played and how to royaly entertain the visiting teams, ah well they have gone now
