Titus Nelson

Titus Nelson

The Holey-Moley Vacuum Assisted Hole Digger was invented by Titus Nelson, a registered Professional Engineer in California. He has worked as a Professional Engineer in Alaska, British Columbia, Washington, Oregon, and Colorado. Ten years of his career was in the mining industry where he mined deep shafts and tunnels for water and sewer projects. In addition, he worked as a smokejumper for the Forest Service and BLM. In his professional career, he worked as a mechanical engineer in the Aerospace Industry. The Holey-Moley Vacuum Assisted Hole Digger has a Patent Pending status. The unique design fills the need for a hole-digger that fits in-between cheap post hole diggers and expensive industrial drilling equipment. A single can now dig straight, uniform holes up to 12-inches in diameter to depths exceeding 15-feet. Let us know what you think!

    $600 for that contraption???🤯

  • @titusnelson4958
    @titusnelson4958 Жыл бұрын

    It is quite a contraption; It works under the 5 power of the resistance velocity, meaning that if you double the air flow through the unique patented digger head you get an increase in dirt movement of a factor of 32. The price is $577 for a 6 inch digger. Made in the USA and still available. If you want a cheap one, I can get one for you for $40 made of plastic. We are here to please.

    It's pretty obvious all the non fence installers commenting, I dug 50 holes yesterday in dirt filled with rock, took all of 1 1/2 hours with The Little Beaver! This would only get used where there is potentially underground utilities. But this takes an ABSURD amount of time. I can hand dig 4 in the time he does 1!

  • @titusnelson4958
    @titusnelson4958 Жыл бұрын

    Well Berry you are quite a professional from your comment. The Little Beaver costs over $3,000 and sure doesn't store in a 9x9x36 space. At 50 holes, you were paying $60 a hole to cover the basic cost of the Beaver. Most people don't have over $3,000 to pay for a digger. I would hate to the shipping cost for the Beaver. Not to knock it, the Beaver works great for what it is intended for. I have numerous customers that use the Holey-Moley digger to dig hole to 20 Feet. The Beaver won't do it. I also have professionals that use the Holey-Moley to get that one hole where there augers won't go. So it is worth it for even one hole. We have lots of new products in the vacuum area especially for digger. cat6tools.com/

    I can see dumping the backfill from one post but if that puppy is full from multiple holes it would be very heavy and thus make more sense to switch to blow mode. So check before you buy your shopvac that it has both modes.

  • @titusnelson4958
    @titusnelson4958 Жыл бұрын

    Antonio thanks for the comment. The shop vac can get heavy if you let it get full. Here is a calculator that computes the weight of a shop vac with soil. No matter how you look at it soil weighs a lot. Even in buckets. So, we recommend dumping after each hole. cat6tools.com/shop-vacuum-weight-calculator/

    Cool idea but when you have to dig 8-10 inch diameter holes 2-3ft deep it seems to be too time consuming What about in Florida where it’s basically all sugar sand. But it’s a cool idea

  • @titusnelson4958
    @titusnelson4958 Жыл бұрын

    We found that digging a 6" hole to depth first and then reaming it is pretty fast. The diggers with shop vac, using our unique digger heads where huge velocities are generated are capable of digging to 20 feet. A 10 to 12 foot deep hole 12' in diameter is relatively easy. This digger has its place. Many people use it for holes for Pole Barns.

    There are very few areas of ground that would hit small weak rocks, like you have in this video... Most yards have rocks the size of baseballs if not even bigger! Let's not forget extremely hard pan clay, that this equipment will not go through. Whoever you got to manufacture this tool for you is must be overcharging you big time and they are ripping you off! I don't know anyone that would pay $400 to $500 for this?

    Thanks for the comment. Lots. of the same if you look . Turns out the best way to keep the hole straight is to look down, and keep the vacuum tube centered in the hole. When one is making a video, keeping audio working, not running out of battery, or sunlight, and working around screaming kids, barking dogs and fire trucks thinking of digging straight is not on the mind. I have dug hundreds of holes sense. Everyone, even with augers tend to lean forward. Just look down and keep in centered in the hole.
