Excellent video. I have attached a RS232 to USb and connected the unknown scientific equipment ( SD-100 Verity Monochromator circa 1999 Device) No software available to drive commands to the unit. I have randomly sent commands through the Debugging software to send commands and observe the received data. The unit does not respond and not sure if its because its looking for the right command etc. I am at a lost and would like to be able to use this equipment. If anyone has an idea or actually has the software please contact me here etc. Anyone who might hav an inkling on the approach or a better idea please let me know... Thanks in advance!!!

Does the adapter work with any Ohaus 3000 model? Like: R31P30 or R31P15? Is video actual on this day? I can find on the web that the FileMaker Go 18 is not available on app store anymore. What I need to achieve is exaclty this: Once you press “Print” on a scale the scale sends a signal with the actual reading. For example: I put a bottle of water on a scale. Scale shows 1048 g and want this specific number to be send to my device wherever my cursor is. Like “copy from the scale and paste into to my messenger app or google search box”. You said that this would work with any app: So it should work?
Both R31P30 or R31P15 have RS232 ports, so yes works with those. As for FileMaker versions, it works with ALL of them. FM Go 18 was just the current version when the video was made years ago.

This means your Student ID card is NOT one of the types: ISO-14443, ISO-15693, FeliCa. It's likely a PROX or iClass or Seos type credential. Your keyfob for your apartment? it's probably a LF (125Khz) tag, which iPhone does not read. iPhone reads only HF (13.56Mhz) type tags. Note: there are also UHF (865Mhz) tags iPhone can't read, however serialio.com has idChamp & Scanfob brand reader models that read LF, HF, and UHF
My apologies for not mentioning that it is a key fob for my office building. Is there a way to know what frequency a key fob is just by looking at it?
Typically no. From experience we know that it's almost certainly an LF tag.

All good now. The problem was in wrong R232 cable from scales to unit.
Can it transfer Weight Data directly to excel? In this case my PC should be connected thru Bluetooth to your device right? Another question, can the weight data be transferred to excel without pressing Print button on a scales? Simply after you put another subject on it.
Define "directly". Typing with 100% accuracy is quite direct. There is a Cloud-In-Hand Mobile Grid app that can email XLS format of all data captured.

why does it say "Built-in RFID-NFC reader" in your title? You can't read RFID with the NFC reader in iPhone
It seems your understanding of RFID is limited. RFID=Radio Frequency IDentification. NFC is a variant of RFID - Near Field Communication. This is why RFID-NFC is used. Perhaps your knowledge of RFID is limited to UHF-RFID, which certainly is not built-in to iPhone. Note with the Scanfob Ultra-BB2e UHF reader you CAN read UHF tags into an iPhone and iPad.

I have scales with USB and have the data in Terminal using Screen, however I am unsure of how to use this data as a keyboard (ie. select a cell in excel, press print on scales, weight shows and next cell selected - the scales send a line return). I have: - 01 alltflex rs430 stick - 01 ipone Xr where I installed the Allflex Livestock software. I can connect via bluetooth between both. After reading the record does not save, error: "Unauthorized Electronic ID"
Talk to Allflex since you're using their software. Using the RS420 with SerialMagic Keys will work. RS420 must be in MFi (Made For iOS bluetooth mode)

@@serialioltd.7781 I purchased an EEOO lock from that uses NFC card to unlock. But I would like to use my phone as the tag so I don’t have to worry about losing the card. So basically I’ll use the master card to program the lock to accept my iPhone. But not sure as to how to do that.
