    3:37 the fact that Ryan isn’t the “best” dancer or singer lands PERFECTLY! He is still very good, but just the right amount of “not as good as Emma” is gold.

    I think this movie only contained one moment of mild violence which was a slap from Mia to Seb. Or did I imagine it? Despite that, it was so terribly entertaining from start to finish and was throwing all the emotional and musical gut punches at the audience. IMHO, a memorable work of art doesn't need action, perhaps not even a huge 'conflict' in the story. Masterpiece.

    The only thing missing was wall split jump in blacklist and conviction and the interrogation dialogues with Sam sarcasm humour also the melee takedowns are downgrade from conviction I like the gun point blank shots sneaking from behind over the karambit takedown other than that it's a great splinter cell I enjoyed

    A good stealth game will have great stealth mechanics that punish you if you go loud. An amazing stealth game will give you multiple tools to solve the puzzle as you see fit. The all time best focused stealth games, including immersive sims and rpgs like cyberpunk, are that good because they dont tailor a game in which you are forced a specific path. Including tools that can go loud but have room to improvise and adapt is an essential step to improve the game and make it even better. Hardcore fans that want the game to only be playable in a way dont realize that allowing different play styles is a key component to improve the pure stealth gameplay. See dishonored, the inclusion of tools that are lethal and loud is a key factor to make the pure stealth approach have even more variety. A great stealth game is all about environment puzzles, level design and tools. These three need to be planned and designed near perfection to make the game work.

    I had a ridiculous amount of fun with this game, so replayable and concise, it was so much fun to keep trying for he cleanest fastest runs to clear a stage or any individual area. I wished they did more of these, a mix between chaos theory for the story and game mechanics, conviction for its grittyness and art design style, and blacklist for its replayable sections and flexible gameplay

    I absolutely love Blacklist..my favorite one so far and yes ive played chaos theory..i just personally love the freedom, and the overall gameplay.. i actually do love Sams new voice more im probably gonna get butchered for this but i dont care, michael ironsides voice was obviously amazing just to put that out there. And to me the story of blacklist is pretty good. Definitely hated on for no reason. I agree with you on the innovation part as well..ubisoft just improved what was already there..and personally i think having freedom to play these missions however you want is really the best move possible.. and one more thing.. maybe the reason why Sam isnt so sarcastic anymore might be because 1. Vic got severely wounded 2. He has limited time to stop the blacklist while also being in command of the whole Op. Just to put that out there..maybe that is why he aint sarcastic cuz hes extremely stressed and pressed on time..Just my way of seeing it while playing through the story.

    I think Eric Johnson (?) who portrayed Sam in this title did a solid job, but the writing was leaning too serious and missing the old Ironside titles usual antics. The whole plot was serviceable, I don't mind that, but also was a bit too serious for characters to breath some levity in (maybe except Kobin). The gameplay is mad fun whichever way you want to play, a massive improvement and refined from Conviction (which I tended to treat that as a one-off). I have played since the first game but I'm not that hardcore, I wouldn't write this off as being an inappropriate entry to the franchise. In fact it was course-correcting back to the sweet spots if given more titles. Blacklist is a good and fun game that probably came out at the wrong time where expectations were high from both audiences and publisher, so it remains the latest entry .... Blacklist enjoyers should not be blacklisted for liking Blacklist.

    Pretty good synoptic review. But, the real message of this movie is ... love. Love = the active concern for another person's well-being without any ulterior motive. Seb wants Mia to succeed, and he encourages her ... relentlessly. Mia wants Seb to succeed, and she encourages him ... relentlessly. At the movie's end, Seb walks past a Mia-is-a-successful-actress poster; he knows that she attained her dream; he has known for a long time. THAT was his greatest ambition; that SHE become successful. Finally, by coincidence, Mia discovers that Seb has fulfilled his dream; THAT was her greatest ambition. She smiles and he nodds. They loved each other into success. Love = the active concern for another person's well-being without any ulterior motive.

    Blacklist is great, It's just a little fast. The older games played a lot slower and this combined with Sam being older gave it a certain vibe. Double Agent on 360 played like this, and it felt clunky so they overhauled the movement for conviction and worked on fluidity. Thing is, if you change how the game feels to play, you're basically changing the game. Even if it's objectively better, it's like great... but it's not Splinter Cell. Conviction and Blacklist would have done great as a new IP marketed as a successor to splinter cell.

    And Gosling doesn't read music. I definitely agree that Seb is the good guy. He gave up his dream so she could quit her job and start her dream. I have not seen "Manchester By the Sea", but Casey Affleck must have been great because Gosling is really great in "La La Land". I am happy he did get a golden globe. I had never seen a Gosling movie until Barbie, but I have seen them now.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this was first SC game with in-order executions( order of tagging the enemies for kill-shots) where executed in that exact order. That made strategic takedowns look like action movie...

  • @JaggedMercenary
    @JaggedMercenary25 күн бұрын

    It has no quicksave and forces you to reply entire sections, since it autosaves only rarely and in the move inconvenient areas. This is the only reason why it was a failure. I gave up on it out of frustration. I always said it, add quicksave support and it would be almost as good as Chaos Theory.

    The replayability on Blacklist was one of the best things about it. Getting full marks for each of the three play styles on every board plus the challenge modes was very rewarding. I don't get why people were ever down on Blacklist. I'm a long time stealth player -- all the Hitman games, most of the Assassin's Creed Games, most of the Metal Gear games -- I played them all to the 100%. I've also played every single Splinter Cell game. I'd put Blacklist ahead of most of the SC games -- definitively behind only Chaos Theory. (Incidentally, Double Agent gets my vote for most underappreciated SC game.)
