It looks so good 😊 I’m swimming in cucumbers and tomatoes here in Illinois. My bell peppers really just started kicking into gear.

I would call your garden a success!! It looks great. If your basil bolts it gets bitter. Also something to remember, if you decide to try tomatoes, always plant basil around them. It keeps the nasty hornworm away.

What is that black device called attached to your downspout? Looks like it would prevent a washout in your garden bed. Where did you purchase this device? TY. Love the slippers! The slipper lady gardens. ❤❤💚💙💜❤

Hello from Louisiana! Your garden is growing beautifully. May I offer a bit of advice, please pull your mulch from the house. The slab must be visible, if not you will for sure have an invasion of termites. Those open spaces in your brick is for the house to breathe and if you cover that, it starts to create moisture and next is termites. Good luck and again everything is beautiful.

I also have my home treated for termites by professional but it still happens to the most protected homes. But, I think it’s worth being cautious anyway.

What is the purpose of putting mulch ?
@Inthegardenwithkathy19 күн бұрын
Hi there, mulch serves various purposes one of the most important ones is keeping the soil moist. In addition to that, it also suppresses weeds and protects the soil from the sun, therefore retain the nutrients in the soil. Finally, it is aesthetically pleasing for some people. I hope this helps.

I had several die back over the winter in my garage. I thought they were dead but put them outside and they started in again. It was 2 sets of Mums that I had put out for Thanksgiving, 2 different Lantanas that I had in pots and 2 of my Mandevilla. So glad I waited to see if they would come back. Now I just need to trim them up.

I am a Jeep liberty Girl with a 6" suspension lift and 3" body lift on 32's and a whole new restructured suspension and differentials. Only washed my Jeep 2 times a year 1 after winter and the 2nd mid summer... Fall time I would Coat my Jeep in Mud for the winter so it doesn't get the northern rust body rot for a 20 yr old Jeep she had barely any surface rust being a Michigan Jeep with just under 100k miles on her.

In Texas we say that when you top off Crape Myrtle’s it’s Crape Murder! LOL I don’t know if it’s the same in Florida but there are very strong supporters in both camps. Although I believe the ‘never top a Crape Myrtle’ camp is the more popular option here. I have 3 in my yard and they bloom beautifully without pruning. (Other than new sprouts at the base). The garden is looking good and you will change the entire house just by replacing overgrown landscaping. Can’t wait to following along on the journey.
