Art Maggik with Maggie:

Hi, I’m Maggie and this is my channel for inspiring art and creative healing.

I’m a fluid artist who loves to play with colors, shapes, and textures.

Fluid art is a form of abstract painting that uses acrylic paints mixed with different mediums to create a flowing consistency. The paint is then poured, dripped, swiped, or tilted onto the canvas, creating unique and unpredictable patterns.

Fluid art is fun, relaxing, therapeutic, and healing. It helps me express my emotions, release stress, and connect with my inner self.

On this channel, I will show you how to create your own fluid art pieces, share tips and tricks, and inspire you with my own creations.

If you like what you see, please subscribe, hit the bell icon, and leave a comment.

Thank you for watching and have a wonderful day!

Extremely beautiful piece. Love the colors and everything. I think I might give it a try. I can't find the mat you used in this video though😥. I'm going to keep searching for one similar. Just my 1 cent

Thanks so much for your P/M video. I’ve battled for so long to get it right. What sort of PVA PAINT DO YOU USE AND WHERE DO YOU GET IT FROM. I live in Perth. Would be so glad to do better than I do at the moment!o

Interesting. I've seen other videos where the resin is not in a mold and folds into shape easier. You'll find that the glass is preventing you from shaping it. Just a thought. 😊❤️🙏🇦🇺

Thank you, lots of good tips. You don’t paint the edges of your tiles? I haven’t used resin yet and your video has definitely helped. Where do you buy your plastic measuring cups from?

Love these pieces, something to keep in mind with resin is that the thicker the piece, the faster it sets.

Would it be possible to lay the resin out like you did on a cooking sheet and shortly after once its held its shape to drape it over an object with many contours? As if it was creating a mold. Or would applying a higher viscosity resin over the object work better?

Can you use this recipe and without adding silicone not get cells? I don’t want cells in some of my pours

  • @Zak_Edington

How the heck did you get that texture/color on the resin? I know you were saying it was an accident but to me it looked like copper tree roots or something, or like copper nerve endings, which I think if I could figure out how to replicate that I could make some very unique pieces! But is that resin going to be clear? Why did it look copper? And did it just look like tree roots because of the silicone underneath? Why didn’t you clean the area you had already resined? You’re going to pour on top of it again, aren’t you? Please lmk and thank you!

I see that this vid was posted 2 yrs ago but i just watched it for the first time and I'm so glad you took the time to make it. I needed to hear these words at this point in my creative journey as i was beginning to wonder what i was going to do next feeling like the market was saturated with fluid art. Now.. maybe 2 years foreard from that vid my fear is warranted but i will solider on, have fun doing it, and hope for the best. I love your wisdom filled words about supporting one another and vow to do better in my world to do exactly that. You're a delight to watch. Thank you❤

I appreciate your talent Maggie but remember, preperation is the secret to success, you seem not aware of this importand aspect, of course the curing timing is critical but seeing you to use the moving unstable cans you lost control of the piece. Now you take the advise and go for the top!! Thank you

I'm sure you thought of this, but I pour my water into the empty glue container to get every drop of glue. Nowadays everything is so expensive, I like to conserve as much as possible. Also, the same with the empty paint containers if I'm adding water anyhow. One drop of paint/glue saved is a penny earned...

I was happy with the first swipe, thought it was really nicely done 👍, but then the other paints on top of that, made me nervous thinking it wouldn't turn out so good. But there's a lesson in everything/pour, I see the beauty in the ending. Turned out pretty swell. Thank you.

Hi could you please tell me how much water you add to the paints, Also if you were only mixing the amount of pva glue and water you needed for just 1 canvas, how much water would you add to that too please? 🙏 I'm only a beginner so I would really appreciate yours or anyone else's help. Thank-you 🙂

New sub here & LOVE your magically beautiful artwork!!! Only "complaint" is how easy you make it look! lol😉 Also admire your colour palettes~as a Hairstylist of 24+yrs I have NO prob knowing which tones, shades etc. look best on hair but this type of art's SO different I've had to bust out my color wheel lol. Guess it just takes time to learn😊
