Apparently there was a legit homeworld story buried along with cutscenes but dei made last minute changes and That's why you have a cringe story along with women who look like men with wigs.

I opened this with 8k fleet power, and they totally destroyed my neighbors. They went for me a little but I was able to hold them off with two merc fleets and spamming frigates and destroyers with point defense. Free real estate!

Wow. 7 years ago. Yeah. Shit has changed. I only got the encoder and decoder from the "correct" option. The deflectors and what-not dont exist anymore it seems, and yes the star system is extremely nerfed to just a couple of planets (one of which was inhabitable anyways)

I blew up a system that geld my farming world in a questljme and turned it into a black hole that spawned the dimensional horror which turned out to be an old god my people then decided to worship for some research bonus but reduced pop growth because drawback for praying to a ancient cosmic horror never comes cheap. Since the system that sucker now lives in as a neutral being to me is also the only choke point where enemies could potentially reach my capitol I now have a pretty cool guardian and last defense when shit goes wrong. Alone for this the leviathan dlc is worth it. After all stellaris is a great story generator.

Man I got this event chain for the first time recently in a game where I was doing cosmogenesis and instead of sending the inverted mass back to my home world it sent it to the synaptic lathe. Having those research bonuses applied to the lathe was absurd and of course I went full steam ahead not knowing how this event chain would end only to watch my lathe and the 200 pops I had on it collapse into a fucking black hole. (I was playing as a fanatic materialist so I literally had no choice but to pick the too late option)

The modern game is way too easy TBH, the old system required more thinking, now its basically a standard map Painter, 1.0 plus some of the newer features would be a superior game too what we have currently, and more challenging.

i play it in 2024 eventually you are running out of space from percentage constrain. in regard of single planet i think lustful void from loverlab are much more asnwer to this just don't go over board on baring a child

I actually only play with 1.9.1 when I decided to play Stellaris anymore. Yep, it's messy, but I actually have choices in my game, and it's much better to be able to do a bunch of things and play a whole different way then have the exact same early and mid game every playthrough. It was organic and wonderful.

On the last mission i had minelayers set multiple planes of mines to protect the mothership while the whole fleet went off to kill the enemy mothership. loved watching the mines activate and my entire sheet of them deform to chase a ship. like one of those black hole diagrams

I had to download a mod to scale down the enemies because i hit the untit cap and it sent 8 frigs at my cryo pods, leaving me with a dead mission in about 45 seconds no matter what i did. fuck that mission

That's part of the issues with the 'remaster' of HW 1, because it's running on 2's engine. Actual HW 1 had no unit cap at all and properly sent scaled enemy fleets at you.

There should be some way to purchase envoys, 2 are lame, its just a burden. I just play the base game and your options are so limited, it would be nice to see Intel culled from the base game, and made 100% DLC. But as things are even a basic cloak for science ships only would be nice, so one could at least map ones neighbors.

Man, Leviathans and Utopia have a special place in my heart. I'm an OG player, been here since day one and I remember listening to your reviews/videos for it and Utopia back in 2016/2017 when I was an Erasmus student in Sofia, Bulgaria (one of the best times of my life). I remember when Utopia came out, I came back from uni, told my flatmate that I couldnt go out that night, went to KFC alone to eat while listening to Aspec talking about megastructures and ascension perks and than went back to kill my first damn Space Dragon in Stellaris after buying Utopia. I didnt get out of my room for a week. This video hits directly my nostalgia. Also War in Heaven is still my favorite event. I know it's not everyone's favorite but I get excited everytime when those scary giants decide to wake up and choose violence.

I am using the lithoid necrophage build you provided but I'm trading out volatile excretions for talented, since both the origin and the species type both increase life expectancy so it gets more bang for my buck down the road

Just started a game as machines with arc welders and this just happened, I can't wait to see how this play through goes with two capitals. The beta capital has way more room for districts too.
