  Very helpful video. I was able replace passenger side without removing anything. I guess I have a small enough hand. Just make sure to refer to the manual for how to remove bulb from socket.

  I got a 2010 prius in april and this is my first winter with it. Honestly, it isn't that bad at all ! I did have snow tire on and I may lift it up if i still have it .

  Thank you so much! This made the replacement a breeze on my 2013 plug-in prius. Luckily the base model has these same easy bulbs instead of the much more expensive/complex LEDs.

  I just bought a certified pre-owned 2019 LE from Del Toyota last week. Great car. Surprisingly more responsive throttle than I expected for a 2 liter 4 cylinder car...and the steering response is fantastic (no under or oversteer). You physically feel like you're sitting in a tank that behaves like a sports car...I feel like Batman (Christian Bale) in Tumbler.

  Legend! Works for my i40 2012, in the same area on the steering wheel, but use Disp and Trip buttons. Battery disconnected at service.... all the defaults including the annoying welcome/good bye sound back on again. :)

  2018 I drove my 2017 Prius from eastern Iowa to Bend, Oregon via Buffalo and Jackson, WY in the start of December. 2200 miles of head winds all the way. 20% of the roads were snow and ice covered (Yes I did carry chains for both axles never used.) Hilly, icy, snowy and unbelievable head winds the car averaged 34 MPG. Again January when 25 below zero temp is seen in Iowa. I've had days averaging less then 20 mpg. But for the whole month I don't remember the avg ever dipping under 40 mpg. The car did underestimate fuel put in the tank and I always said the computer was 7% high on MPG.

  Useful tip: To avoid the NEW bulb touching any surface when installing, practice inserting using the OLD bulb. Once you're comfortable handling it, install the NEW bulb.

  Another useful tip: Use a glove. That way, you won't risk transferring body oil to the bulb if you don't have time practicing.

  Thank you so much! Changing this bulb has been such a nightmare that I was actually contemplating taking it to a shop which is insane for a headlight. Your approach is simple enough that I can do it and it solves my problem. Thank you thank you thank you!

  Just came here to say THANK YOU. I replaced all four bulbs with LED's and would never have been able to do the passenger side without moving the coolant tank. One note: I did not find it necessary to disconnect the air intake- I left that in place and could comfortably reach in. The low beam is the most difficult as a result of the immovable metal piece you can see at 2:11 and mention somewhere else in the video.

  Wow! Thank you so much for sharing. You are a God sent angel! I have struggled with this right side light headlight for soooo long with many scrapes and light bleeding after each install. This time…no more! I was able to get it done easily in 45 minutes. Just amazing! Thank you again. God bless you and your family.
