    Hi! I noted on your recommended astro setting to shoot at 18mm for the 16-55mm, why not 16mm?

  • @ThomasBusbyPhotography
    @ThomasBusbyPhotography5 күн бұрын

    Corner of the lens star detail is much better at 18mm compared to 16mm, but even just bumping the zoom lens around just a smidge so it’s not on 16mm will make a good difference

    Although it's not on the list, it seems I'd get better results with my Fujifilm 18mm 1.4, though I will try your setting while on adventure when bringing only by beloved 16-55mm. Thanks for the quick response! Cheers!

    Go with the XH2 for video, its not even close. X-T5 is for photgraphers and has horrible rolling shutter. Only useable video would be on a still tripod.

    with the 3847 does the monitor get in the way if open? and can it stay open and been seen?

    If you’re using a camera screen that flips and spins, then with that handle rotated to a horizontal angle yes the monitor and handle could be in each others way. To get around this I either have the camera monitor folder back against the camera body but visible, or use an external monitor.

    Not a fan of these 2.4mhz wireless units. I have had best recording performance with pocket recorders. Built-in batteries are also a negative ... Can go anywhere with it - no range issues of course.

    Sorry, I didn´t quite get it from the video. Is this part of the same system that you can use without the mattebox?

  • @ThomasBusbyPhotography
    @ThomasBusbyPhotography18 күн бұрын

    Mostly no. You can still fit some screw on filters in behind the mattebox, but the magnetic ones that are designed to go on the front of the mattebox are not the same as the without mattebox options. These are much thinner

  • @ThomasBusbyPhotography
    @ThomasBusbyPhotography18 күн бұрын

    @ManuelParodiRamos yeah I have both and like them each for different situations. What I think would be hard to find a two in one option is none mattebox filters you need to buy in different sizes for different lenses, where as a mattebox system works on every lens. And screw on vnd filters are a pain to use with lens hoods, and I really like some form of protection on the front of my lenses

    Picking up my X-T5 on Monday. Part exchanging my X-H2. I loved the X-H2 but coming from the X-T4 I really missed the dials. Wish I’d seen this video before I ordered the X-H2 as I am definitely photography first. Glad I found this video though as it’s reinforced my decision to swap. This video should have been Fujifilm promo video for the X-T5! Extremely well put together and has the information front and centre that prospective buyers need. Well done 👍🏻😎

    My question: have you try to take pictures with a Fuji X100V ? I do have a XT1 and I have X100V i try couple days ago but I think the 23mm lens isn’t wide enough, appreciated your input? PS, I like your videos been older the speed of you description is hard to follow. Sorry not insult intended.

  • @ThomasBusbyPhotography
    @ThomasBusbyPhotographyАй бұрын

    I understand we about 23mm not being wide enough. It’s absolutely a personal thing, but I love a full frame equivalent of 24mm, so a 16mm ok Fuji. The wide angle adapter can help you get there but adds a bit of bulk to the kit. And yes my newer videos are much slower as I didn’t have a good system in place for getting content across for the older videos

    Can we adjust polarizer to desired point and then insert ND and adjsut it Using Dail ?? Will that change the previously set Polarization ?? Can you PLEASE explain, my question is " what if i wana shoot a car under harsh sun , how to get polarization with ND ??

  • @ThomasBusbyPhotography
    @ThomasBusbyPhotography2 ай бұрын

    I just tested this just for you. If you use the polariser on the dial it works as expected. When you add the variable ND, its amount of density is based on where the polariser is set to. So you CANNOT use the dial for polarising AND variable ND, just one or the other.

  • @NihalUsman
    @NihalUsman2 ай бұрын

    @@ThomasBusbyPhotography big thanks for testing it for me , so , first we set polarization, and then we insert ND and adjust density, mechanically that manual dail will get on to ND when we insert it and this will never change polarization from set level , am i correct ????

  • @ThomasBusbyPhotography
    @ThomasBusbyPhotography2 ай бұрын

    @NihalUsman no. Once you insert the ND and start changing the dial. The amount of density has changed by rotating the polariser. The ND doesn’t rotate, the polariser does, which when combined with the ND makes it into a VND. Just to be clear, you can NOT use this system as a polariser AND a VND. Just one or the other, but if you only want to use one, the dial makes changing the polarisers position OR the VND density very easy.
