  I thought this was supposed to discuss some of the openly gay and not openly gay people in Deering’s social circles at Vizcaya? I didn’t hear much mention of that really. Seemed to be more of a generic panel discussion with little historical discussion of what went on at Vizcaya. Nothing wrong with that, but i was just a bit disappointed as i expected to hear more actual stories based on the historical research. History buff here as well!

  That's the Barge! It was used as a leisure space used to entertain James Deering’s guests. It's also a work of art, but, most importantly, it serves as a breakwater built to protect the estate from storms - even to this day.
