Thank you for this beautiful video! Ptarmigan Tarns is the highest on my list and hope to hit it within the next couple of weeks. Was there much of a scramble anywhere?
Gorgeous shots of a beautiful lake I have not heard much before. Thanks for sharing!
That was a pretty big day, especially with the bushwhacking. But, the reward sure looked like it was worth a few scrapes and scratches. It appeared you didn't encounter many people. Years ago my wife and I hiked up to Dream Lake in the early fall - lots and lots of people. I prefer solitude but I'm sure that's really hard to get in RMNP....it's even getting hard on this side of the mountain. Anyway, thanks for sharing those stunning lakes.
You are so welcome and thank you too. There was just the fisherman at the lake when I arrived. I asked him, "Do you know an easier way back?" He's said. "Yes the elevator over there." We both laughed. Just as I was leaving a girls group camp arrived. I was so impressed with these young ladies. They are the ones on the bridge when I was filming the deer in the creek. Thanks so much for watching. "Arapaho Lakes" will be coming out next Thursday or Friday. It's another remote lake located in the James Peak Wilderness.
Flawless filming my friend, shots are amazing! Absolutely amazing!
You are so kind, thanks so much.
Thanks for sharing your adventure. I must say the video is stunning. If that is a cell phone your using it is a keeper. Good job filming it all and assembling a top quality video.
I appreciate your positive review. Thanks so much. I use a GoPro to film.
The last time I went to Loomis was 2019, before the fire. So glad to hear it was untouched still. Great video, thank you!
Thank you so much.

Looks like an amazing trip! Have you ever camped at Mirror and Crater lake up there? Highly recommend it. One of these years I'd like to do the Pawnee Buchanon loop too
Thanks so much. Yes, we've done Mirror and Crater Lakes. Hopefully again next summer. The Pawnee Pass Loop looks like a fun trek. We've been to Pawnee Lake, it's beautiful and not crowded.

Thank you so much. I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
Beautiful lakes. We took the same shuttle to Hessie that day to go up to Devils Thumb Lake. Would have been fun to run into you guys and say 👋
That would have been great, to meet you. Thanks so much. We just completed our first backpacking trip this year. I'll have a video out in a couple of weeks. I already have next weeks scheduled. * FYI, I know you climb and do the really hard stuff. Cooper Peak in the Indian Peaks Wilderness, it's saddle has a cornice and the south facing side slope is all snow still. We met two people who climbed down it from the back side. They were doing the Hells Canyon Loop. The woman looked terrified and she was pretty cut up but not injured.
Thanks for the info. I have an ultralight pack that I carry for 1-2 nights if needed to scale some higher peaks. I have more 14er videos coming as I accompany my friend on his quest to finish all CO 14ers this year (he has 10 left)
Sounds like a very adventurous year for you! Looking forward to your climbs.
This is amazing, shots are amazing!

Love Wild Basin trails, kinda surprised Ouzel was doable this early, tends to be a damp hike from the turn off, but a very pretty and nice video.
Thank you so much. We can't wait to get to Bluebird Lake, a few miles beyond but a whole different world with melting snowpack conditions right now. 😊

Hello, thanks for sharing a good video❤
You're so welcome and thanks for your kind words.
Hard hike! So much snow and downed trees too. Glad you pulled it off in the end. Thought about doing Bluebird Lake this weekend but may have to wait for the snow to melt. Thanks for sharing
Thanks so much! It means so much coming a technical climber, like you. I've been watching who's getting where in the Wild Basin. We've been to Bluebird in August 2023, but I can only imagine how conditions are now. Looking forward to your next expedition.
Beautiful video. Thanks for sharing. 👍5
