Archaic doesn’t necessarily mean not relavent and in some case better and better for society and the world
I'm glad the injury wasn't worse. I wish you a speedy recovery Michael! It was nice to see you both at the Expo, and I look forward to see y'all out on the trail.
Always good to see you bro!
Speaking of green, what is creating the energy being stored in the EVs? A lot of electric power is created by burning fossil fuel. Sure there is hydro electric, aero electric and solar power generation making strides but there is still a lot of coal and oil being burned to charge EV batteries.
Thanks for commenting. We are on the same page... agreed.
wow, who's that good lookin man? :) LOL It was great to see ya, wish you quick recovery!
Thanks Bud, will I see you at PNW?
@@WaypointOverlandI’m hoping to be there Friday AM, from there we’ll see where I’ll end up
Great podcast! I've been following Sir William's journey/adventures since he was the Carolina Car Guy. I hope to meet him someday out on the trail.
Sorry to hear you’re having health challenges. Hopefully, everything goes well.
I’m rehabbing and progressing. See you at expo pnw?
I came here after watcher TOGR the outdoor gear review KZread channel video on Force Protection Gears thermashield blanket. These guys make some incredible gear and I can’t wait to get my hands on it. Their homepage now has links to help assist in the buyer understanding which thermalshield product is right for them. The thing he didn’t quite get into is how when under the thermalshield awning the ambient temp is far more cool than under any standard awning used for similar purposes. It creates an air pocket that is a thermal shield between you and the outside air.. Hope that helps anyone who may be interested in these products. FPG should consider making a few shorter form videos with very clear case scenario applications to further explain these differences. Cheers,
Thanks for stopping by and the input. Stay tuned for more.
Amazing courage 🫡 keep it moving the public is with you both 🙏🏼
I was very interested to hear your thoughts on this. I’m relieved to find that I can check nearly all the boxes that fit your mindsets. The points regarding time, money and risk taking are my biggest concerns in my experiment.
Appreciate your thoughts. Time, money and risk is a difficult balancing act, especially as you get older.
As a grenadier owner for three months I would like to compliment the assessment of the Grenadier. You have hit on the main point that every other reviewer I’ve seen has overlooked entirely, it is the best that we can expect in today’s regulatory environment. I think I heard Sir Ratliff say they used the “minimal” amount of tech to satisfy the markets they are active in. As a start up they couldn’t possibly design let alone manufacture 7 different cars for seven markets. The cool thing about that is the petrol grenadier in Australia will be for all intents and purposes the same as mine. Except of course my steering wheel is on the correct side.
Thank you very much and thanks for watching! I've gotten nothing but good reports on the grenadier.
Ha! I had the same conversation recently. At least I can change/fix my tires, jump start my car, read and follow the manual. Lots of skills have been lost over time.
We gettin' old Shorty. 😞
@@WaypointOverland nah - seasoned professionals :)

Hi there. I'm looking to buy some of those awning lift brackets but can't seem to find them anywhere. On the Aussie website the link is password protected. Can you help with details of the brackets please??
Very nice way point
Just ordered one!
😀
I'm watching your Jeep build!
@@WaypointOverland working hard on what I can do with no money, saving my money for the big things.
If you’re camping in warmer climates, can you use a very small window unit AC?
Yes, there are AC units made for vans and rv's.
@@WaypointOverland I was curious if they have available small DC powered units. You don’t have a lot of volume to cool down.
Looking forward to taking this training
Highly recommended!
this trailer is a beast..
Agreed!
Love this collab! I don’t follow many channels and I do follow them - they are one of my favorites
They are awesome! Thanks for watching Shorty. 👊🏾👊🏾
@@WaypointOverland always watching :) I enjoy the interviews.

Promo'SM 😱
I think this is your best interview Phil and Mike. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks a lot Eric! That means a lot. Lot to look forward to coming up.
If they made an awning room to pair up with this awning, it would definitely be a game charger.
😎👍
Surprised you have time to watch the podcast with the new Jeep you just got! lol 🤣😆🤣😆
@@WaypointOverland I have to sell the wrangler to get more cash to start the build It is currently for sale on Facebook marketplace. Also, I’ll need some overtime money so I have plenty of time to listen to the podcast. Wouldn’t miss it.
Will you be in Flagstaff this year?
We’re looking forward to being on the show
Are there any available wall enclosures for the awning ?
I have a 2018 JLU with the 2.0 mild hybrid. I have to say I have been highly impressed, the stop start is seemless with the mild hybrid, and if the battery level drops low then the stop start doesn’t engage. And with the turbo settings I have never had a problem with turning my 33x12 tires, even on snow/muddy mountain trails or soft beach sand.
Awesome to hear your experiences.
Very good 👍
Thanks for sharing 😎👍
Stunning❤
Some great idea thank you 😎👍
Thanks Eric!
Thank you for the wonderful and informative video. Keep up the good work 😎👍

Alaska Airlines: Did you know the guy on the tail wing has a name? Amouak was an Iñupiat (Alaskan Native) and was hired by the airline in the 50s and first appeared in ‘72.
Thanks for spending some time on the DIY section. That was one of the big reasons we went to Flagstaff and were really disappointed. Would love to see that expanded significantly.
Eva is such a interesting person. I had no idea. Thank you for sharing her with us. Great job Michael and 😎👍
