    @JimmyGrey-fl1kbАй бұрын

    @luzbel4469 - Thanks for the question. It does not recline. It is fixed once in it's seating position. I haven't seen a foldaway seat that reclines. However, we've also started using another seat called the Broad Arrow. It is a convertible seat/bed. There is another company called Limitless Van that makes a swivel for the Broad Arrow that allows you to turn it into couch mode to make more space in the van. This is quite a bit more expensive but a good option to know about while building out your van. Hope this helps!

    Hey everyone! We wanted to chime in because this comment thread has gotten more use than any other video we’ve ever posted, haha! Obviously there are some strong feelings out there so we just wanted to take some time to address them, as human beings. First off, we really appreciate everyone who took the time to write a comment. We’ve read each of them! We’re also not blowing smoke up your ass by saying “thank you.” Your honesty and feelings about our last video will help us moving forward to spend more time thinking about the wording we use, allowing our vans to be seen in a positive light by all audiences. However, we also acknowledge that the van conversion industry has varying options, and affordability can mean different things to different people. We respect and understand those perspectives! We’ve since changed the video description and KZread thumbnail to make sure that our videos aren’t misleading. We want to iterate that our focus isn't on profit margins; it's about crafting vans that stand the test of time, built on personalized relationships and integrity. This van was built from the ground up by our team in California for someone who requested the van to be spec’d exactly as is. We worked with him for months on how to build the best van for his specific needs. He’s actually from Massachusetts and he decided to work with us not not just for the product, but because we had built a relationship together and he knew that we would build him an extremely high quality van that was personalized for his needs, and it would be built with integrity. Moreover, comparing our build to similar-priced options reveals significant differences in quality. We've invested in enhancements like an upgraded electrical system with convenient features like dimmer switches and 120v power, not commonly found in standard Adventure Wagon kits. Additionally, our 400w solar panel and alternator charging add tremendous usability and self-sustainability. I want to stress that this isn’t about defending our pricing; it's about providing context. The van conversion industry operates in a space where quality comes with a price tag, especially when using components crafted here in the USA by skilled artisans. Ultimately, Levity Vans is a team passionate about creating top-tier vans for outdoor enthusiasts. Your feedback matters to us as we navigate this space, aiming to balance quality, value, and accessibility. Thank you all for engaging in this conversation. Your input fuels our continuous improvement, shaping not just our builds but our dialogue with the community. Thank you! -Levity Vans Team🚐

    I have way more pride in my rusty '10 Express with 225k miles and about $700 worth of material to build out than I would ever have for any of these socialite hashtag vans built as toys for rich hipster kids. I know some people might say "must be nice to be soooo rich that you think $75k is budget" but hell, I think seeing nonsense like this makes me happy to be poor.

    Bought a new Transit for 30k, spent $35k converting, lifting, adding lockers, etc… and sold for 65k after two years and 64,000 miles on it. DIY or don’t do it at all.

    I helped a friend build a sprinter van during covid, we spent around 30k for the whole build, with a shower solar heater all the good stuff. 75k for a 10 gallon water tank, prebuild battery pack and only 400W panel????? No shower no cooker minimum storage space and cabinets??? What are yall smoking?

    This is a 190k total build with a kit (120k if you get a good deal on a van), making it one of the most expensive builds on the market that I've ever seen. For half as much, you can get a completely custom build done on a better vehicle with way better amenities. I contracted a builder for a 100k full urban stealth build in a box truck (2016 truck with only 10k miles on it included) that has 2200W solar with 20kWh, 100gallons of water with reverse osmosis filtration, literal bulletproof walls, a hydraulic platform lift, recirculating shower, starlink internet, a battering-ram-proof security door, minisplit, full winterization for water systems, separate toilet/shower rooms with flushable black tank hookup and both a tankless water heater and backup 4 gallon water heater with a smart dehumidifier that refills the tank from the air, 2 computer gaming stations with tons of outlets, a converting murphy bed and living room, full size fridge/freezer and kitchen with hood, massive storage space that contains a literal gymnastics high jump platform and mobile pole dance studio. My build is incredibly high-end and considered not very affordable, with high end polish. It’s cheaper than this “minimal/affordable” build. IMO this adventure wagon kit is dead on arrival with a massive markup on component costs. Countless other buildout kits are considerably cheaper at only 30-60k total cost including the price of a truck in good condition as well.

    Does the $75k cost include the van? If so then this is a crazy good bargain!! An AdWag kit with the options you have is ~$22k excluding the floor, galley and fridge. The AWD Sprinter is about $68k around msrp. Some things I liked about your build are the led lights in the lower garage area and the recessed fuse box. I have an adwag kit which I love for is versatility but the fuse box gets in the way and I have store things around it. So I think I'll take some inspiration from your build to add to mine.

  • @LevityVans
    @LevityVans7 ай бұрын

    Thanks for the comment @bikesbeersbeats! I love your username btw, lol! The $75k cost does not include the van unfortunately, just the cost of the buildout itself. We've found the Adwag kits usually run around $28k-$30k for the kit and a professional installation. The AWD Sprinters over here in California are running around $90k, so I don't know where you're located but we should be buying our Sprinters where you are! haha! We actually replace all of the LED lights in the ADWAG kit with ones that can be controlled from a dimmer switch so that you don't have to press each individual light. The lower garage lights are a must! I'm stoked you like the recessed fuse block, we actually 3D printed that recessed mount and just mounted it behind the wall panel. We've also experienced issues with exposed fuse blocks getting in the way so this was a nice and easy solution. We're stoked you like the video! Feel free to reach out for any more questions! -Reece ☀

    In one of the comments you said that an interior frame is unnecessary as the exterior adapter essentially serves that purpose. If you didn’t have the adapter and just used butyl tape to build up a level surface (like you suggested in another comment) would you feel the need for interior framing? Thank you ❤

  • @LevityVans
    @LevityVans Жыл бұрын

    Hi Jordan! Thanks for the message. I strongly recommend the adapter in any vehicle that does not have a flat roof. We produce our own for our builds but you can purchase them at DIYVAN.com. If you use butyl tape alone and an interior brace, it will likely warp the ceiling and bend the metal. It will also bend the plastic mounting piece which will prevent the fan from ceiling correctly. Hope this helps!
