  Basically, my head canon is that the engines were sent to space due to the collapse of sodor, and escapades happened from there.

  You do make some pretty convincing, I always thought Ruben was sent by a some Galaxy military to Sodor to defend the railway in case an invasion happened, as for Toby he could’ve been used as an experiment along with some other tram engines like him that went wrong until later on they eventually found a cure (this was for a series that never ended up happening called Sodor Dimensions as one of a few plot lines). I assume after Ruben wouldn’t have lived to tell the story since he was reduced to scrap metal. But it is interesting that maybe Victor is making a Ruben 2.0 and improve on the original, I don’t know if those were the true origins of Ruben, Julian and Helltruck but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was, but that’s just a theory of course. Fantastic job, I really like the theory video!
