    If you were serious about popping holes in modern rifle plates, you'd probably need to jump up to the 308-sized cartridges, and likely the barrel-burners 20" or more. Texas Predator Hunting tested the new 80gn V-Match 6 ARC ammo from a 12.5" and I think he was getting 2670 fps. That's only 1266 ft-lbs. Not amazing, but better than 5.56, I guess. Probably need to handload to get better numbers....and Grendel will probably take better to the increased pressure. 6.5mm 100gn ELD-VT has a better BC than the 6mm. Factories nerf the ammo so much for these weak AR bolts, that it's almost not worth it. Also, if you guys are gonna make a big deal about a do-it-all with ballistic performance at 500 yards, maybe build guns setup to actually shoot well at that range with bigger scopes?

    From all the information I've seen, Trump is only alive because he turned his head. Pure luck. Are you familiar with NRA silhouette competition? The closest targets are at 200 meters and about the size of a human head. Perhaps a tiny bit larger. But about 8MOA. I see people knock those targets over regularly from a standing unsupported position. The rams on the 500 meter line get hit pretty regularly too. Secret Service should have had a couple people on top of that roof. Not just in the building.

    You sure the 300bo is better than the 350L or 400?

  • @BulletsNBrass
    @BulletsNBrass21 күн бұрын

    depends on the job, for you, probably not. If you are sticking to purely super sonic, and don't need the extra reach of the 6.5 or 6mm options, I'd really have to look at 350L with that Lehigh Defense bullet as my go to option. Plenty of plinking options for reloading. Factory ammo is slightly more available than the faster stuff, and standard mags and bolt. But even 350 Legend starts losing a lot when you have a 7.5" barrel. 300BO gets the advantage of being extremely good from very short barrels and then the subsonic option for fun and games.

  • @tbjtbj4786

  • @BulletsNBrass
    @BulletsNBrass21 күн бұрын

    Yup. I definitely like to throw in that aspect regularly. KE is only one way to measure, and if you're shooting something that's physically durable and not skinny, it's not your most important number. Momentum and the ability for the round to break things and still hold together enough to keep penetrating is critical. Faster but lighter is a lot more reliant on the bullet getting to do exactly what it's designed to do.

  • @BulletsNBrass
    @BulletsNBrass27 күн бұрын

    Or just make it less successful. From what I've seen it's still common even in countries where prostitution is legal or simply ignored and socially acceptable in most ways. But I don't really think that's quite the same as the main issues that come up with some of the more belligerent women who create the approach problem. Plenty of overlap, I'm sure, but that's like saying a lot of horse girls are crazy. Not all, and not all crazy girls are horse girls. Well, not any more than girls are crazy from a guy's perspective in general. Even ignoring the outliers that really prompt videos like this, men and women are amazingly different mentally.

    A magnum cartridge is a longer cartridge that has more gunpowder in it which creates more velocity which creates more power!

  • @BulletsNBrass
    @BulletsNBrass27 күн бұрын

    Sooo, WSM rounds are what? 41 Rem Mag? Heck, that one was literally created out of thin air as a magnum, it was basically created at Elmer Keith's request as an intermediate between two other magnums. You aren't wrong that most are longer versions of existing rounds, but it's not a defining criteria, simply a handy stepping stone for manufacturers who don't need to reinvent the whole thing every time. As for having more powder, well, that depends entirely on how you load it, I've got plenty of 357 magnum loads that use less powder than common 38 Special rounds. But while they may be slow, they're still 357 magnum, so clearly that's not the distinction either. It's almost like it's just a name that helps sell product.
