Good Golf Coaching

GOLF IS EASY - I promise you…

Having spent ten years working with players on the DP World Tour and Staysure Tour and now the majority of my time at Precision Golf in Surrey working with club golfers to elite amateurs; I want to take my experience to all of you, here on KZread.

UNDERSTANDING how to appraise your golf swing is ultimately how you will improve, not simply learning how to fix “your slice” for instance.

EDUCATE yourself on how your golf swing evolves over time and works within your “eco system” of moves and tendencies to golf your ball the best way possible.

APPLICATION is crucial to getting results, I’ll show you how.

I want you to play the best golf possible with a little education and a little less sugar rush changes. Come along for a ride that will sure to IMPROVE YOUR GOLF unquestionably.

You can also find me on Sky Sports from time to time but mainly at Precision Golf…

You can access my online diary in any description of a video.

    Played my first round with my GGC swing. Tee and sand shots were outstanding. Iron play was spotty...work in progress. GGC is one of a kind instruction. Amazing content and presentation. Thank you, Stuart.

    Notice at 18:47 in the video when you let the club drop behind you the lead arm comes way off the body, is that correct? When I try this the same thing happens and I'm outside the ball. Can you pls explain this? Tks.

    I get all that Stuart but where you are confusing people is how far the hands return back. I have deduced that it is in line with the ball line : and you push and pull the handle down at the same time. Thanks for your great work. Grateful Aussie.

    @@GoodGolfCoaching Swinging the broom as we speak. lol I will give it a fair shot and watch more of your videos. I get the concept and, with simple practice swings, I can see how it the "around the corner" move generates speed and squares the clubface. It feels almost like it is going to come from the outside, but my divots, on the back yard grass, are straight. Okay, I'll leave you alone now for a bit. Thanks, again!

    That was a peach. All your drills get the heavy end swinging through rather than my cover drive. Been such an improvement since i started implementing them. The heavier the clubhead feels as it freewheels through strike, the less i think about putting my club on the ball. It gets collected on the way

    Interesting that towards the end of the video you talk about being in the gym with weights to imitate the golf swing you do not step forward. I have recently adopted such an exercise, partly to imitate the golf swing but mostly to strengthen side muscles which need it! I was going to ask about pretty much the exact basis of the video at my next lesson with you and you have now confirmed that stepping forward is garbage. However, there is just one small aspect from my gym exercise that I do wonder about in the context of the golf swing (and apologies in advanced for the long winded and possibly confusing explanation that follows). As I start to pull the weight I have preset the leading leg so that it is bent in roughly the position it would be at the top of a good backswing and the intent is to use the straightening of the leg to pull the hips around as I would do in the downswing. What I find in the gym is that as I start to pull the weight there is a very slight hip bump forwards, almost as a trigger to get the lead leg to straighten. Does that also happen in the golf swing or is it something to avoid?

  • @GoodGolfCoaching
    @GoodGolfCoaching2 күн бұрын

    Hey Justin - left hip will always move toward the target in the downswing, how much is dependant on lead or trail leg pressure and direction. Hope that helps. Best wishes Stu
