    if you took one piece of cord, folded it in half, then why were there so many flails at the end? Shouldn't it just be two tails?

    Lol, I truly don’t like making videos.. I only did it for a little bit during 2020 when we were all out of work. I make whips full time and you can find Dakitty Whips on Facebook, Instagram, or my website!

    my cracker keeps tearing through my fall or sliding off the end

  • @dakittywhips4849
    @dakittywhips48498 ай бұрын

    If it’s skidding off the end you might not be taking a lighter and refusing the end of your fall before attaching a new cracker. If you do that it won’t slide off. Tearing through is odd because there’s nothing going through the fall unless you’re using a different method to attach the cracker.

    How does this compare to the larks head method in performance?

    This is the most amazing way to do this that I've seen. I'm getting my stuff to make a whip for the first time this week and you and Nick from Nick's Whips totally inspire me and help me feel like I can learn how to do this. I know it won't be as easy as y'all make it look...but Im hopeful to make nice whips over time. Thanks! I came here by way of Nick's

    Do you work on leather whips and repair them?

  • @chrisgriffith1573

    On the stock whip handle, if the showing material is metal, sand that area and use an epoxy spray paint, often called "appliance paint", if it is wood sand and use an oil lacquer. This will last and wear the best in each case.

  • @dakittywhips4849
    @dakittywhips4849 Жыл бұрын

    Those are good options however this material is neither, hybrid handles are made out of CPVC. I’ve tried many different methods before landing on sanding and spraying each handle with a plastic bonder before painting, with regular use the paint will always chip.

    Most companies (myself included) don’t keep whips in stock.. you have to place a custom order, it’s often faster than waiting for in stock items to come up anyway.

  • @dakittywhips4849

    I have no clue. But it’s not an exact science, whatever container you use you just want enough to cover the whip.

    I dont have a threading needle what are some other ways I could make a fall?

  • @dakittywhips4849
    @dakittywhips48492 жыл бұрын

    I’ve never used a threaded paracord needle so that’s not a problem.. You can use any small piece of metal or thick wire, if nothing else you can cut up a wire hanger and that will work perfect.

    I had learned how to Crack a bullwhip over 25 years ago, it wasn't until I was goofing off after clocking out at work that I cracked a strap from a TV and realized that I can still do it with other items....

  • @dakittywhips4849
    @dakittywhips48492 жыл бұрын

    I’m not using a lacing needle, I find them annoying. I’m simply using a piece of wire and slipping it inside the paracord before I fuse the end.
