The Norwegian water creature (Nøkken) has such big glowing eyes when it’s dark in its lake. I wouldn’t go near that thing if I were one of those gnomes.

Very cool! Although Nøkken's behaviour is quite incorrect. Still cool!

where did you get this story from? or did you make it up? what is the history of this legend or folk tale?

sophia win thank you for the comments on my videos. I made up the story, the influence is from the greek harpys, and perhaps a bit of Tom & Jerry in some sequences. I hope to finish another video soon, but my life is pretty busy right now, so I can't promise anything. If you want to see more, you can check my comics here: sonofotis.deviantart.com

I dig the bass riffs, did you compose and perform? The machine was very imaginative (and funny). The no sound, just putting on the chef hat as an answer was fabulous.

The Toon Boom website led me here - excellent work! Such a wonderful style you posess! I just began with animating at the beginning of the year, I have much learning to do, are there any instruction sites around that you could recommend? Likely I'll just keep mucking about and see what I can come up with...

@lecomjer Thanks for your comments. I am using just animate (not the Pro). I don't think the extra effects and options in Pro are necessary for me, especially when concidering the extra cost. A great program!

are you using toon boom animate or animate pro?

I just starting mucking about with ToonBoom programs over the last two weeks. Very nicely done!

Thank you I have no idea how many hours I spent making this - i used most of my evenings in april may 2010 (1 1/2 month). - maybe 150-200 hours? I can spend 2 days on one scene, or 2 hours - it all depends on how you do it, and the shortcuts you take. Still, I am not very effective with the program I think, and still learning how to use it effectively. I used cut out animation for 98% of the movie
