  You got netcode fuckery compounded into a fast flick. There's alot going on here. First and foremost the server thinks he hit you on his client. You can throw your hands up and stop there if you want. But there's also the flick to factor in and I think this bit is interesting. When flicking reflexively you are bound to have alot going on between frames just because of how fast the crosshair is moving. Let's break it down: there's his framerate, where he sees what he did perfectly, the server tickrate, which determines which of those frames actually "count" (registered vs interpolated), and then finally there's your recording and its framerate, which is what we can see. So in order, there is: - his shot. Plausibly with higher frames on a 144hz monitor. - the server tickrate. Siege has 64 tick servers. - your footage. I assume standard 30 or 60 FPS? At the smallest timescales that 64 tick/60 FPS mismatch will have moments like this where you're scratching your head, as the video frames and the server ticks often won't line up. Note that you can't just record at 64 FPS instead, as then it's likely that _every frame_ wouldn't line up. The asynchronicity, whatever it would be by chance, would be near constant. I don't have a clean way to end this wall of text. Lecture over. Feel free to ask questions or just ignore this, a comment this long off of a YT short pretty unhinged.

  Bonus ascii to demonstrate what I mean by asynchronicty: |||||||||||||||||||||||||| ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I'm using the variable horizontal widths of the characters to represent different timesteps or hz. You can see how sometimes the bottom row can "point" well to the top row but not perfectly and not often. Top row has 27 characters and the bottom row has 17. That's a bigger difference than 60 to 64 but I hope you get the idea.

  Yes I posted this because I didn't see how it hit me, so i checked again and I was right, he was never on my head unless between frames the recoil jumped it right into the same position after firing before the next frame. Am I wrong???
