  Man I wish Zakk would play the solos like Dime did. His new level solo sounds nothing like the original. I can play the original all the way through it's not even that hard....lol.

  @@rontalley8385 yeah I know, it just makes me mad cause the leads from Dime were usually my favorite part of the song cause his style was so awesome. Zakk is still doing a great job but I wonder if he could try to play like Dime with the legato stuff, cause Zakk is almost always just speed picking every note. Which sounds killer btw. I hope they come to Cleveland again. I was literally ready to fork out $140 bucks for a one day pass just to see Megadeth and Pantera. I think there might've been some other bands I liked there too that day.

  @@rontalley8385 he’s not though. He does his job in ozzy when he plays Randy solos note for note. It’s lazy at best and disrespectful at worst to just go up and play whatever. If he doesn’t sound like dime who cares he can still play the right parts like he does for ozzy gigs.

  @@daviddiniro8767 Well, the "job" is gonna vary from gig to gig. Meaning, some artists/employers are gonna demand you play the songs note for note just like the record, including the solos ala: the Ozzy gig, whereas others might want you to just play the changes, breaks, riffs, etc.. like the record but otherwise, do your own thing when it comes to the solos. Those are probably the first things that are discussed and agreed on long before any playing actually goes down. And since both Zakk and Charlie are literally hired guns, they obviously aren't the ones calling the shots or making those kinds of decisions. I mean, if this particular job (Pantera gig) did in fact call for him to play Dime's solos verbatim, Zakk would obviously be fired by now, seeing as he hasn't been doing that. Not because he isn't capable, but because it's obviously something that's not demanded and/or a requirement in this particular situation.
