What happened to Molinaris pizza ? Last time I had it months ago the sauce was no longer sweet and the cheese was really different. Really turned me off. Use to love the hell out of that place and I live just down the street from it.
I can't believe you covered eating in freehold and didn't mention Federici's !! Seriously?????
Actually shocked I didn’t, got a few videos on freehold so maybe I wanted to change it up 😅. If not, I shouldn’t be allowed to call freehold my hometown 😂
@@liveincentralnewjersey LOL you're so forgiven. I grew up in Freehold and up until this year, head home (now Fort Lauderdale because of course 🤣) at least every other year. There have been trips of three days during which I ate Federicis pizza all three days. I grew up on Broad Street (#104), bought my first house there (#32 McLean St) and worked for Vince Halleran (#56 West main Street right across from the firehouse) and graduated from the Borough. Cheers 😊.
Love hearing that you still make it back. I’ve been to a lot of other states, but still think Monmouth county is one of the best locations out there!
@@liveincentralnewjersey No doubt but as you talk, sooooooo expensive! Back when I bought 32 McLean St I paid $58k!!! Sold it three years later for $114k but can't imagine what it would be now, especially because it's a duplex or was then anyway. And the property taxes in Monmouth!!! Holy cow!!!! It was a lovely little town to grow up in though!

Town counsel are all corrupt and being bribed by Lakewood and eagle Oaks Golf course . They all need to be investigated. They shut comments off on youtube so they can pass tax hikes and ridiculous ordinances under the radar.
Howell and Marlboro were both hit with the biggest hike recently. I’m not a fan about how the towns went about it either like many of the residents
I wouldn't give you 300k for that house.
Doesn’t seem like the smartest idea to turn down 600K equity in that scenario 🤷🏻♂️

Avoid Lakewood. Also lakehurst. Born and raised in ocean county, 40, things have changed for the worse.
I definitely can’t comment on that haha but I will comment for a little extra engagement 😅

Every time it floods the roads are underwwter and all the homes are jacked up because they are in a flood zone. I see no advantage to having properly there.
Thanks for your input. Yes, all beach towns are low elevation and in a flood zone so newer builds will all be raised to avoid problems in the future

I was there last night (a Saturday) and it seems like a straight ghetto.
Thanks for the comment! Like most towns, certain areas will be more desirable than others. I promise the 1.5 million dollar condos overlooking the ocean in pier village is not the ghetto!

@@liveincentralnewjersey MUCH appreciated!
I went to high school in Manasquan over 50 years ago. While my career has since taken me all over the country in several states, I would move back to Manasquan in a minute if able. Great town with great memories.
Love the area! I’m in northern brick about 10 minutes away and love taking the quick trip over
@@THEREDROCKET23 I live in South Florida now and couldn't even imagine living in Manasquan or any other Florida shore town. You can only use the beach in the summer and what the heck do you do all winter. I have been seeing more and more NJ license plates in Florida even in the summer. Former NJ business have moved to Florida because that is where the money is.

I would never buy anything on the Jersey shore. Way overpriced and kind of blah. I can do much better in South Florida for half the price and taxes.

Place sounds and looks like an old jersey shore town that is from a bygone era. I don't consider a asphalt blacktop a boardwalk. This area has been losing population since 2000
Thanks for your feedback! Yes, the boardwalk isn't the traditional style like Point Pleasant or Belmar, but the population has been increasing since the early 2010's after a slight decline like you mentioned.

where is the house in the thumbnail located within freehold?
I don’t know the exact address but it’s in the subdivision Clayton Farms. It’s on the West side of Freehold off of Rt 537 and between gravel hill road and Thompson grove

How would you compare freehold to the neighboring towns. Plus and minus I guess ?
@user-vo4ri8tv4h Freehold will be very similar to neighboring towns like Manalapan, Marlboro, and Howell. For schools, residents seem to prefer Marlboro slightly, but they're all apart of the same High School District. Cost of living will be nearly identical. Home prices and property taxes are all about the same, Howell is slightly cheaper than the others. Marlboro, Manalapan, and Freehold have homes that go into the multi-million-dollar range, but I'm unaware of any developments like that in Howell. Commute to NYC, Marlboro will be the fastest as it's the most northern town while Freehold will be an extra 15-20 minutes south. There really isn't a right or wrong answer, but I'm bias growing up in Freehold so I would choose it over the others! If you have any more questions, feel free to reach out at 908-907-4049.
@@liveincentralnewjersey any reason there is a preference for Marlboro schools ? We so far have agent from Manalplan and there’s not enough supply to find something so we are trying to be as educated as possible on all areas around. How was it growing up in freehold? Was it similar to other towns aka not boring, things to do, kids in the neighborhoods vs not having much to do ?
@@user-vo4ri8tv4h on most of the main school sites, Marlboro elementary and middle schools rank slightly higher. There are some headlines going on right now to do a little research on. I enjoyed freehold. I played a lot of sports growing up so that’s where most of my free time was going to. Plenty of different levels of youth athletics and programs from soccer, basketball, lacrosse, etc. During the summer Six Flags is about 15-20 minutes away depending where you live in freehold. Getting a season pass to there was always fun. IPlay America is right off route 9 and has laser tag, indoor arcade, amusement rides, and top golf simulator. The beaches are about 20-30 minutes away depending which one you prefer Got a couple big parks, and one to go camping at with Turkey Swamp if your family is more on the outdoorsy side. Honestly in a great, central location just like Manalapan and Marlboro are
