Salary is not bad depending on your lifestyle and where you choose to live. Obviously Auckland is hugely expensive but there are plenty of places to live where it is relatively cheap. NZ is all about work life balance. If you want huge salaries and no life, then NZ is not the place for you.

Sounds like they're from South Africa. Compared to where they've come from NZ is a safe haven. There are troublesome areas but they are nothing compared to SA.
Just goes to show how much I have taken for granted living in NZ. Until someone comes in from another country and tells it through their own eyes.
