Krysta Norwick

Krysta Norwick

Hi I'm Krysta! I make videos about my life and long distance thru hiking. I have completed 3 long distance hikes: The Great Divide Trail, the Croatian Long Distance Trail & the Pacific Crest Trail. I love to create authentically, so you will also sometimes hear me talk about mental health and other topics close to my heart. It is so fun for me to take you on my outdoor adventures and I'm so glad you're joining me!

Such beautiful footage... and very well produced! Quick question: I notice that your ground pad is very thin. Do you have additional padding to get a good nights rest?

Loved watching your PCT trail videos! Funny thing though….took me half way thru this video to realize you’re in km now instead of miles! I’m constantly going back and forth…..grew up in the states, and have lived in Ontario for 42 years now. But I still go back to miles. Love watching you guys!

Only bummer in your Northern cal portion of your hike was that we didn't see much in the way of views of Mount Shasta or mount Lassen, even though you had some clear days and with the rains that you had at times there must have been some fresh snow on both of those.

I love watching your series, but hate when they end. Do you feel regret at the end of a trail or just exhilaration because you succeeded?

Thank you for sharing your journey with us. I am so proud of you accomplishing this monumental feat. Your skills with these videos really comes through, and I am sure it was quite challenging at times on a hike of this magnitude. I am glad you had the support of your husband. Many blessings to you and your family.

Thank you for sharing your video. I have a question, please. How much water is needed to rehydrate 100 grams of food? I always seem to mess this up. I'm so used to eating military MRE meals no water needed for these, only to warm them up. Rehydrating is a new concept for me.❤

That's truly beautiful country. Actual rain forest is pretty exotic to me -- I have hiked in a lot of different environments but this is so verdant -- every surface has something green growing on it. It's great to see you both hiking together again. I hope the entire trip was a joy for you guys.

Why did you opt to tent camp instead of using one of the huts? Never mind, just got to that part in the video. Glad you have the flexibility of a tent or the huts.

Spectacular! Those huts look awesome--I have never hiked hut to hut before. So you are on the Sunshine Coast--reminds me a bit of our Olympic Peninsula. Wolves--that is so cool! So great to see the two of you out there again.

Love it! It's on my todo list. I'm from Quebec and we have a few hut to hut hikes here as well. The most popular one is Traversée de Charlevoix at 105km but will soon be extended to 130km. And SIA/IAT trail that is 650km which I've hiked in 2021. I stayed almost exclusively in the amazing huts :) We have lots of shorter ones around 50km, like Sentiers des Caps, Sentier du Fjord, Le Philosore, Lac Kenogami, etc.

Such a great idea to plan initial/ certain hikes as training hikes & for motivation...rather than having the pressure of other types of training might perhaps that be less enjoyable/ motivating.
