Building a relationship before asking for a favor an underrated etiquette which we need to follow :) Thanks for the reminder shub :)
Absolutely! I love how you called it “underrated etiquette”
Makes so much sense. Thanks for sharing.
Glad it was helpful! Sometimes understanding the other perspective makes job search so much simpler
You say that "8%-10% of HR recruiters read cover letters". And you still advocate for them? Geez.
You do realize that 8-10% of total recruiter population is still a big number? If writing cover letter gives me a huge upside with 10% of them, and has no downside otherwise vs not writing them taking me out of process - I would always recommend writing! And it is a very good practice for getting your career story and narrative prepared for conversation
Can you elaborate more on this.
Hey Vaibhav, check the longer video in the description where I am going into details. Buzz me with any further question :)
@@ShubFaujdarYT thanks 🙏
Underpaid beats flat out not getting paid.
From your perspective, absolutely. And we need to take these roles sometimes to pay bills. But a lot of companies are still hesitant to hire overqualified people because they are worried about you leaving when you get the right compensation
Agreed
Thank you, Vaibhav

Agreed 👍
Thank you 🙏
Thanks for breaking this down. I did get my Top Voice badge recently and now planning the forge forward..
Is that the Community Top Voice badge or the blue badge?
Great reminder on listening to our hindsight when things are not right :)
Absolutely!
Good
Thanks
Insightful !! What would be some fastest methods to land a job without reference..
Hey! Referral is one of the fastest ways. If that is not your fav Avenue, reaching out to hiring managers with an email clearly stating your value add is another fast way 👍
Wonderfully articulated Shub! I hope to put your advise in action!!
Thank you very much, Sandeep! Which one are you starting with?
Hello
I am great fan of how you articulate your interview answers madam :)
Thank you very much for your support 🙏
Okay
Best video i have seen to handle interview rejections :)
Thank you very much 🙏
Thank you for the insightful video shub :)
My pleasure
Great points madam :)
Thank you! 🙂
Ok.
Excellent Shub!Thank you
Many thanks!
This randomly popped up on my feed, just had to say " I think you're beautiful".
I appreciate that
Thanks Shub. Very insightful. Quick question on the bonus tip. Isn’t it a little aggressive to asking a question about expectations from the role and then highlighting how you fit in when it was just about tell me about yourself . I see it as a little risky as it is going away from the initial request of just sharing about yourself. Thanks
Thanks for that question! The interview is about both parties seeing their fit with one another. You can take away the risk by asking their permission - “I am happy to go through my experience in detail. If you don’t mind, can I ask you a quick question.” And then ask for expectations. If a hiring manager gets offended by that, just imagine how they will be as your boss.
What are the hard and soft skills?
Hard skills are the technical and functional skills that are unique to the role. Soft skills like communication, team playing, leadership are required in all positions
Great insight. Thanks for sharing.
Glad it was helpful!
What are some data sources you would recommend for candidates to use when preparing for salary negotiations?
- Glassdoor - Payscale - external recruiters (Tap into their expertise) - Salary surveys - Career centres of B schools with EMBA programs - Gemini (previously Bard)

Good night 😊😊😊
Very nicely articulated Shub!
Thank you very much, Sandeep!
Which fresher candidate skills apart from technical one's makes him stand out from crowd..
Insightful !! Mam how to apply for job as fresher when there's more preference for candidates with 1 or 2 years of experience ? Does some skills or tactics come in play when it comes to cracking job interviews..
Thank you for the question. I would recommend using your internships and projects to show various skills. You may even include leadership experience in university societies and clubs… recently had a fresh grad get a role that was for someone with 1-2 years of experience.
@@ShubFaujdarYT I get some ideas 😊 Could you suggest any best books around this topic to read in advance to prepare different plans..
Thanks. Actually experienced this (non-deliberately) in a recent interview discussion and that changed the tone of the discussion in a better way compared to random questions being thrown out during the interview. The role expectation question was key to having the opportunity to fine tune my responses and connecting them to hiring managers’ requirement. Thanks again for sharing.
I am so glad to hear this! Thank you for sharing your experience. I love asking expectations upfront for a better flow of interview
Di aapko apna video Hindi language me upload karna chahiye Jyada view aur like aayega Plz try one time
Thank you! May be in the coming months, I will try it ;)
Di aap yek baar Hindi me try kariye
This is a complex topic which can be touchy at times. The video still addresses the key items well and with proper context. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! Glad it was helpful..
Good tips! Another point is bad breath. Always have a pack of mints handy.
So true! Thanks for adding that tip, Ricky
👍
Hi Shub, lovely video. Thanks for putting it together! I have a qq: most of my contacts on LinkedIn are people who I don’t really know or haven’t ever spoken to per se ..so it might be a bit awkward for me to reach out and say something like “I came across this and thought about you ..” or anything on similar lines ..to avoid it seeming inauthentic, do you have any other suggestions/tips on what one can do to build a relationship with people who you don’t actually know?
That is a great question. And yes, this tip is more for people you have spoke to! The key is to then engage with their content or have a conversation with them (without asking for a job). One step at a time
Very good 👍
Thank you 👍
Excellent didi
Too Good 💎 What would be some top books to read around this topic which will give us an edge when there's more competition & demand for experience of 2-3 yrs in entry level jobs ?
Thank you! Unfortunately, a lot of the books are a bit dated :) you may want to follow some people on LinkedIn/ KZread who give amazing advice on these topics
