  Thanks mate. Tail pipes where done by another garage I agree they where too far out. I had to Modify the diffuser to fit around the pipes.

  Para el fallo de suspension inactiva, prueba a activarlo conectandole el ordenador, si sigue sin funcionar, cambia el compresor trasero y si no funciona aun cambia el modulo de suspension

  Well done. I wonder if you need new dual fuel pumps, like mine has. I've sorted a number of major issues with the X5 over the years and, yes it has cost a pretty penny, but I simply cannot afford a new vehicle, and my X5 has features that many cars do not have.

  I often look for a good 4.8is but they are hard to come by in good condition. I narrowly missed out on one about 5 years ago - it was offered to me for £2000. It did have a suspension fault but that was it. Should have bought it really but I already have a 4.6is and it wasn’t different enough if you know what I mean. I shall keep watching these videos though as it’s really interesting.

  Most common issues with the 4.8is are leaking Valley pan, worn valve stem seals on higher mileage cars and Air suspension problems. If you buy a pre face lift E53 with an M62 engine 4.4 or 4.6 then you need to check for loose timing chains and broken chain guides. If you buy a 4.8is for under 5k that is a low price so make sure to check for any of the above issues.

  I had my X5 engine rebuilt with new valve stem seals in 2016 and I hope they last. I like to look at the major expenses over a time period, instead of one big bill. So the engine rebuild cost $10,000 (Canadian) and the car has been running almost 20 years now, That's only about $500 a year. Of course there are other things that wear out but looking at the overall picture there is no way I could get a newer equivalent vehicle for much less than $100,000.

  @@ctvediting Thanks for the comment. That is a good way at looking at the running costs of a vehicle. I’m sure the valve stem seals should last if they used Elring seals then you will have no problems. Thanks for watching 👍🏽

  I've looked at a BMW X5 4.8 2007 for sale with 92K miles as its LEZ compliant but Ive heard that particular engine is problematic.

  I was having the same dilemma last week! In the end, I chickened out and got the 3.0D mainly because I'd be using it for trailering and I already have my weekend warrior. Gotta love the e53 though.

  The N62B48 and N62B44 engines in the LCI E53's are more reliable than the pre facelift M62 engines which suffer fron timing chain guide problems. These cars are a moneypit and they do have gremlins but they are special.

  I was just driving a 4.4 with the M62B44 engine yesterday and I’m sorry bro it doesn’t sound anything as good as a N62B48. I have had all of the V8 E53s the 4.8is sounds much better than the rest of them. 👍🏽

  It doesn’t look too bad but there are a lot of small fiddly jobs to be done to bring it back. Don’t be surprised if all of the suspension ball joint need replacement too.. brake callipers sticking, possible valve seals too. The list can go on..

  The Alternator on N62 engines sits right near the bottom no direct spray or hardly any water got near it as I was just focusing on the engine covers.
