We had a great time watching all those beautiful cars race, and the so very talented drivers. Thanks to all the racers, we come down every year from Gaffney, SC to watch the races. Our first races at Road Atlanta was the SCCA Run offs in 1971, we just purchased a new TR6 and spent many hours at the Group 44 race headquarters in Virginia. We lived in Arlington, VA. Bob, head of the Group 44 team got us race tickers. Fun to watch Group 44 Quaker State racing team and Bob Sharp (Datsun) teams compete, Thanks for the fun, great video, makes you appreciate the talent that you all have.

Man, a great track car if you can build the motor so that cylinder #2 rod bearing doesn’t get starved of oil and spin.

@C3Racing956910 ай бұрын
@dassport9216 not good. We got pushed off the track due to a 914 spinning in turn 1. My jack point caught the rumble strip when I was sideways and brought the car from about 70-80 down to 0 instantly. When we inspected the car after that. Somehow in the crash it broke the rear rotor. So we didn't get to finish the 1st sprint race or even start the 2nd.

@@dassport9216 I noticed you had a couple of laps posted. This one, you held 4th on the main straight and 3rd into turn 4. In a different video, I believe you pulled 5th on the main and 4th into turn 4. Is this your preferred way around? You have to redline a couple of times for a second or two but looks like it might not be worth pulling the gear to shove it back a split second back.
