@@8thFloorproduction these are paid sessions I’m doing here but there are websites you can find on Google that have stems for different genres. Look up “free raw audio track outs” in Google. Cambridge is one place u will find that comes up they have a ton of options.

one question i never searched before: should i use mono plugins or stereo plugins ? i record in mono
On mono channels you are normally only able to put MONO plugins or in some cases plugins that are MONO/STEREO which basicly converts the mono signal into a stereo one... BUSes usually take stereo plugins because in most cases you have a combination of mono and stereo panned signals chained to the same BUS which would otherwise ( if you use a MONO plugin) convert all of it back to MONO, which i suppose you don't want... ALL DEPENDS ON THE SIGNAL SOURCE
@@Ivkoo_ thanks a lot! I’ve seen some people using stereo plugins when they record in mono that’s why i asked the question. When i look for the plugin i want to use, it shows me the both options “mono & stereo” and each of them open and work fine i was in doubt about it

I don’t use a UAD console chain. Everything I do is in Protools. Nothing on my UAD console at all.
If you pay attention to when I’m recording I pull up the VMR by slate and if you pay even closer attention you will see I’m using that as a recording bus so my mic goes through that n then onto my record audio track to be recorded with the vmr plugin I have on. So I have zero need to use something outside of Protools like the console.
Also 37 minutes in you can see I do not have anything

Thumbs up! When recording vocals in Pro Tools. Do you record in pre fader metering with all faders at unity gain?
Only with band’s. I record vocals without pre-fader metering but my record track is always at Unity and I have my peak meter on so it tells me exactly how loud I’m coming in.
