Nice one Rob making the most of the bumpy conditions 👍🎣
Nice video, lovely weather. I'm very interested in the set up of your mates sib (Tobin sports boat). What has he got on the front for pulling and where did he get it from, its just what I'm looking for for my boat.
Hi Bud and thanks, the Tobin belonged to @chrisdavison2022 He actually made that from a golf trolley and it worked a treat for him, He's got a set up like mine now but a bigger engine.. I believe he still has the Tobin up for sale too.. Give him a message and he'll give you more details on his trolley, Cheers again and thanks for watching 👍🎣

@@ScrewsCruise-SIBFishingUK1971 Thank you
Do you pay for the lauch at beadnell mate? - Recently got my hands on a SIB so will drop you a line to find out about any community's you're part of. Would be great to know when folk head out
HI and cheers bud. At Beadnell, you are meant to pay £5 to launch to help with maintaining the area.. They moved a bit of the gate to let the SIB's fit under it so want to charge a fee... Well we don't, considering the parking is £9 for the day, it should include the £5. We don't belive it goes to maintaining at all but in their own pockets.🤔 Where are you located, I could always drop a message when we arrange another session which won't be long..👍
Hi bud, there's a few of us heading out of Beadnell again Thursday morning, meeting around 7am after a mackies coffee..🎣👍
Nice one Rob it was like two different days by then end! Looking forward to the stars lining up and getting out again 🎣
Cheers Wayne, Off now for 3 weeks, so give me a shout when you wanna get out bud, need a session again.🎣🎣
Cheers Wayne, Off now for 3 weeks, so give me a shout when you wanna get out bud, need a session again.🎣🎣
Really enjoyed watching that. Thanks for the insight into the peddle drive. As I've not purchased a yak yet any infos good. Thanks take care
@TonyKitchen471 cheers bud, don't get me wrong about the supernova. I did enjoy my time with it, they are super sturdy, but if I had to buy another yak, I'd be going for the viking gt.. 👍
Great video, you both did well considering the fog. Let me know when your back out as I would love to join you. if thats Ok. Steve
Cheers Steve, I'm hoping to be out soon as I have 3 weeks off work now, when we next plan our session, i'll give you a shout bud👍
@@ScrewsCruise-SIBFishingUK1971 That would be great, thanks very much.
Hi mate, there's a few of us heading out of Beadnell on Thursday morning. Should be in the car park for about 7am... 👍🎣
@@ScrewsCruise-SIBFishingUK1971 Thanks for the invite, unfortunately i have a hospital appointment or I would have been there no problem. Have a great day and stay safe. hopefully the next one I will be able to make it. post the video so can see how you got on. take care Steve
Cracking vid mate you really earned those beautiful cod with some of those swells well done 👍
Cheers Bud, glad you enjoyed it and definatetly earned them Cod. Hoping to get out again soon as I've a lot of friends wanting feeding 😂...👍
So you're not scared of a bit of fog now then...??? 😆
😟😟I believe it's the second session in the fog, on the Yak was the first time and was a lot thicker then..I love it, it's an eirie feeling like.Adds excitement. When you back out, ....

Cheers again Kev, glad you liked it bud.. always appreciated and still 3 more to edit😂.. see ya soon mate 👍
Nice one rob
Cheers my friend, glad you liked it and still 3 more to edit, so Happy watching 😂👍
Absolutely brilliant video thanks for that m8 I'm in bridlington and I've just got a sea pro boat with a 5 hp engine and I can't wait to get out on mine
@robertwilson6918 cheers my friend and so glad you liked the video.. once you get out on yours, you'll want to keep on going out, then you'll want to go bigger lol. Please let me know how you get on and cheers again 😃👍
What a belting session mate great vid on a beautiful day in a beautiful place 👍🐳
Cheers my friend, the whole day was just what the Dr ordered, Some more decent sessions on the way too 😁 👍
I watched that with a smile on my face Rob, cracking video and great memories of a smashing day on the water in mint company 😎
That was a good session, thoroughly enjoyed it and glad it put a smile on your face, also love your new skipper 🐕🐶😂
After watching England tonight that last fish is the only thing that's coming home. 😂. Great to watch. Keep them coming.
Cheers Kev, still another couple on the way, and that fish came home and devoured that night.. But definitely more entertaining than watching the England matches.. 😂
If you're still concerned about your boat's performance, the distribution of weight on board can have a huge impact on speed & overall safe handling. It doesn't look heavily laden to me, but where you stow gear has a big impact on such small light boats. Plenty of fish there, just all small, well done.
Cheers my friend, I tried all that weight distribution and even left things in the car to keep it lighter, I sat at the front of the boat, sometimes leaning forward and sitting on the airdeck.. It went for a service and was told that the carburettor wasn't performing properly. Nearly £500 later with a full service and carb blast cleaned, it worked after another slight issue and thats another video, But it seems to be performing properly after a test run🤞🤞
@@ScrewsCruise-SIBFishingUK1971 Maybe there was 400Kg of muck in the carb?
@@ashleyhoward8926 Probably bud, £500 quids worth of 💩 in there.. it hurt handing that cash over, but hopefully all sorted now. 👍
@@ScrewsCruise-SIBFishingUK1971 I got a ladies ultrasonic jewelry cleaner in LIDL for £19.99. It's ideal for the carb jets once a year.
@@ashleyhoward8926What an idea, if it worked for you, next year I'll do it myself, I watched carefully when he stripped the carb down and took the idle jets out, didn't look too difficult 🙄..hopefully..
Another mint video. Reckon you'd ever be able to do a "guide to SIB fishing" which things like your boat, why you picked it, the engine, how much fuel and why you picked the size etc. And even how you go from the car to water? It would be great to have a car boot to beadnell bay video and how things work. Cheers for the upload mate. Tight lines
Hi bud and thanks, definitely something I'd love to have a go at doing, normally when I get to wherever it is I'm fishing, I get too excited to get out and just get on with it in a hurry, also peer pressure from the posse I'm with because I turn up later than them lol.. 😂😂😂
@ScrewsCruise-SIBFishingUK1971 understandable! I've been tempted with the Honwave T38 (avoiding the ally deck at T40) with a 20hp so if needed I can venture a bit further north or south from the slipway as its a great place to launch from.
Another great video, need to join yu at some time, if thats OK. Steve
Cheers my friend and you're definitely welcome to join, the next time we arrange a session, I'll send you a message of when and where.. The more the merrier 😃👍🎣
@@ScrewsCruise-SIBFishingUK1971 Thanks mate would love to join you and your friends. I am new to this so will need your help if thats ok with you. Look forward to the invite, work pending. Cheers
Nice one Rob be out soon
Cheers Bud and hopefully see you out at some point... I have 3 weeks off in August so 🤞and hope mother nature is going to be good for us🎣🎣🎣👍.
I was looking in supernova pedal drive until i saw your video.. looks very uncomfortable, slow, exhausting. Maybe thats the reason there is every second pedal kayak for sale-supernova. Feel lost now, maybe need to look into motor+battery instead
Hi bud, I'm not going to lie, but it was a ball ache, especially when you're going against the tide. I reckon on lakes or even reservoirs it could be OK but I'm a sea fisherman. Them Yaks are very heavy and super stable so I would definitely look at putting a motor on it. I still have the propel 54 motor here that failed, could be just a minor repair but again, look at what Galaxy are selling, They have the mounts already fitted for the torqueedo motors but they are very expensive.. hope this helps 👍👍
Love your videos go rob!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉
Cheers Jason, you're awesome too bud, Keep dancing and see you again in May..
Got the supanove just on pedal love to have my very firsy trip with ya mate
Cheers bud, I loved the supernova, but glad I got rid of mine. It was a super sturdy kayak, but heavy and a bugger to pedal, but I was unfit lol... Where are you based, we travel places and you're more than welcome to come out and join us, we have a chap called Davey Dodds who Yaks while we SIB..👍🎣
@@ScrewsCruise-SIBFishingUK1971 Im near Blyth/ ashington bud
Not sure how I missed this Rob! At least no blank, it’s the middle of June now and the weather is no better! Twin tub washer that’s a proper blast from the past 😂
Nice one Rob great trip out 😎 Music ah that old pain in the @#$e ! It’s a difficult one mate making the choice and so hard to please everyone.
Hey up and cheers bud, just wanted to show others what it was like around there with a bit of footage, Longer than I thought and yeah the tunes is probs not the best, but the droning of the motor was doing my nut in when editing.. I will choose wisely next time though.. see ya soon 😁👍🎣
At least you managed to make it to the Farnes this time..! I didn't because of that swell when I was out! 😆
Next time though eh! hopefully soon too. been a few weeks now. 😩
Another great vid , love the trip around the farns .thanks for sharing
I loved mooching around the Islands, but was criticised on my choice of music I used when editing that section. You can't win em all but glad you liked it my friend. 3 more vids coming soon so please keep watching. 👍👍👍👍 Cheers again.
EXCELLENT
Glad you liked it my friend, got a few more video's ready to edit.. but cheers for watching as it's always very much appreciated.. 👍 👍
Aye you’re right we always forget something mate
Always, I did forget my vhf once, AND it was foggy, but I stayed close and anchored with my buddy I was out with.. Cheers again 👍
Not carry pliers for unhooking
Hi bud, Sorry about bit of footage, I normally do carry them but sadly left them in the box at home. I know it looks extreme but I am glad he went back safely and I can assure you and others, I'll be using them from now on,Cheers for watching though 👍
Great footage, Jesus lay off the shit music, I’d rather listen to the outboard. 😂
😆LOL... It was the droning of the motor that I thought I'd put it in to start with... I'll choose wisely next time 😆 but cheers for watching 👍
Another excellent video Rob 👍
My number 1 fan, love you my friend. few more coming your way x
Great vids , im just new into sibs got a hydrus h6 3.7 with a 9.9 mariner but plenty experience sailing of the Northumberland coast . Would be good to meet you sometime at beadnell, im quite local to there so ideal for me .
HI and thank you, You have a nice little set up there, a good combination and should fly on the water, Have you been out on it yet. Whenever mother nature allows, the group of us try and get up there as often as possible, normally get to the car park for around 6-7 am after a mackie D's coffee and chat.. But please watch out for us and your more than welcome to join us, channel 9 on the VHF while we're out there to chat among ourselves too. We were looking at going out this Sunday and shoot down to Dunstanburgh Castle, shield ourselves near the cliffs out of the winds but looking doubtful at the moment.👍
Ah shame its this Sun, I'm fitting launch wheels and breaking in the new engine . Hopefully will get out next time you're at beadnell, it will be my first time out on the sib can't wait
At least you sussed out the engine problem. You need an auxilliary though & a VHF radio. Put the orange crotch strap between your legs as well, it could save your life if you wear it properly. After I've been out on my boat, I put rods in the shower with reels at my feet & they get rinsed off in warm water, worked for years. See you at Beadnell some time.
Hi there, I have a VHF radio, in fact, I always take a 2nd one and keep it in my box, just in case whoever I'm out with forgets theirs.. I normally wash my kit straight away too but totally forgot this day and won't be making that mistake again. But yeah, hopefully see you at Beadnell sometime especially summer, I Will be there many a times with the others. 👍🎣
I look forward to these Rob. you're biggest fan Ste lol x
There will be one in the next day or 2, just finished editing and another 3 to come.👍Love ya bud x
Great video, these things happen, at least you got back safe. would love to join you out fishing, have own boat and outboard. Cheers Steve
Steve, firstly cheers for the watch and also your'e more than welcome out anytime with me/us.. where about's in the UK are you based though.😁🎣
@@ScrewsCruise-SIBFishingUK1971 Thanks for the reply, I live in Ashington. I have have 3.8 Honda with a 9.8 tohatsu 4 stroke. I have purchased a fish finder and radio, never been out of the box lol. Thanks for the offer, I would love to join you and your friends. Cheers Steve
Great video looking forward to the next one. Hopefully a few more fish. 👍 .
Hey up Kev and cheers, I have 4 other vid's ready for editing, and they ALL have a lot more fish coming your way.. Game on 🎣🎣 and happy watching.
Looking forward to them Rob. Better watch than Cornation Street. Amazed to see how you fit all that in your daily driver. Keep them coming very entertaining. 👍
Is the gate always open ?
Hi bud, Not at Beadnell, normally open after 8-9 ish or if they have events going on. But we have been informed that they have removed the lower bars from the gate to fit a SIB under BUT may require a donation of somesort via bank transfer!!!
Just a tip also for your fuel tank... Chuck a cloth over the cap while bobbing about.... Stops any water being drawn in as it uses fuel. And as you know, engines don't like water.... Don't ask how I know about this!!! 😆
Noted my friend for next time... I'll bring a teatowel with me lol ...What a session today though eh!! , EPIC Video coming sooooon.
No £20 in the car park... oh well ..cheers Tight Lines...
Not in Newbiggin bud, they don't part with nothing there the tight Geordie buggers.. lol.Cheers to you too and tight lines 🎣🎣
All's well that ends well mate and no blank 👍
Felt like a right wally when I realized what I'd done, never again lol ....
Did the sideview of the sonar gave any trouble with this install? I want to install the same transducer but i don't know how to make it stay flat to the water line with the mount of the supernova
Apologies for the late response bud, I used spacers to build up the bracket so the transducer was flat with the bottom of the yak, I also kept the plastic cover off which Is meant to protect the transducer,, I was told that this would affect the sonar. I never used the sideview and still don't on my SIB. I don't know if that is meant for shallower waters like in rivers. I've never really gave that a chance.
I've just bought that kayak . Was that motor stupid money?
The motor at the time was £350, but was a massive failure, I had 3 replacements but in the end, got refunded. Galaxy were meant to be building a new and safe version? But the Yak is a cracking piece of kit, heavy but bloody stable.. Enjoy it though 👍
Couldnt stop laughing. Your reaction to peddling. Worry ing for me as ive just recieved my first ever pedal kayak . Yep the supernova fx 😂. Wish me luck
Apologies for the late response, It was a killer to start with and I was goosed for most of the day, but I did find that the more I peddled, the easier (slightly) it was getting, But hope you have had good fun In the supernova, super stable yaks but heavy too. Good luck and cheers my friend..
Well done Rob your better on the kayak than you are on the sib just watched your video again great day
Cheers Davey, That's what I was thinking, and you know what... I actually miss being on the Kayak. One day, might get another 😀
you are right to have captioned it snotty seas, well done on getting out, good comprehensive video on what to expect with regards to launching, i can clearly see what we were speaking about....you might want to think about carrying a tube of superglue in your tackle box....seal that cut to your hand up good and proper. i will keep in touch Trebor , its looking all the more inviting now i,ve watched the Vid. Thank you.
Glad you liked the Video bud, and that cut, I swear it hurt like he'll for ages, it had its own pulse towards the end of the day and had to scrub the blood from inside of the boat, all over the fish finder, inside my tackle box too. Yeah, keep in touch and hopefully get out with us in the summer or whenever 👍
Tough going this time of year. Another few weeks before it picks up probably. Good to get out though.
Definitely good to get out, but hopefully it comes to an end soon, all this crappy weather needs to be gone for a while. I have 2 weeks of soon in May and want to get out a few times 🙏🤞
Hi, good video. I was just wondering what size motor you're running
Hi bud and thank you, its the Tohatsu 9.8. Plenty power for me and fairly nippy. 👍
Love your video, thanks a lot, awsome Yak
Cheers my friend and glad you liked it. I loved the yak to start with, but it became a problem after problem. So it's gone now. I preferred my 1st one, the Galaxy Sturgeon, lighter and easier. Cheers again 👍👍
2 questions i want to ask you Do you prefer the sib to the kayak and do you pump up the sib with air every time you go out
Good morning . Firstly,I loved the kayak especially on flat calm days when the sea looks like a sheet of glass, it's also good for exercising if you're paddling. But I prefer the SIB as I can get out more in worse conditions and stronger winds, get to places a lot quicker meaning more time to fish, and yes to having to pump it up every trip. Normally takes half hour for the full set up to be done.(but still loved my fist yak).👍 Cheers.
@@ScrewsCruise-SIBFishingUK1971 Last question do you wash down the sib every trip and then fold it away after it dries or do you get it home and then wash it down your replies are very valuable thank you
When I finish my sessions, it's normally chucked in the car but blow it back up again when I get home, wash it down with soapy water and dry it off with a towel.. fold it away which can be a bit awkward in the cold but i do manage it. I always clean all my equipment that I use to keep it looking top notch. I'll also run my motor for a good 25 mins in fresh water to rinse out the salt water. But don't worry about questions bud, I'm happy to answer to the best of my abilities as I've only been doing Sib for under a year.. 👍
@@ScrewsCruise-SIBFishingUK1971 Thank you so much i kayak fish here in South Wales i am going to change over to Sib fishing i will do my home work and have a bit of an idea before i buy one Thanks buddy
Hi, love your fishing blogs. Just starting myself. Got a tohatsu motor 9.8 but I can’t lift it up . Think I will trade it for a 6 hp . Can you do some videos on just parking at various spots , like Beadnell bay . And other places on the east coast near it . Thanks John
Hi , interested to go to Beadnell sib fishing. Any hints or tips about parking etc . Thanks john
Hi bud, there is a large car park right on the front so a very easy launch, I think it's about £7 per day or some have been settling up in the car park, then leaving the car near the wall before you come into the car park as its free.. hope this helps 👍
Thanks very much , hope to get my hydrous 3 into the water pretty soon John
