  The best thing about AFI- is they make such different albums- yet it's always THEM. Burials WAS dark and Bleak and a cool spin. It's like all of their stuff where you can pick an album to suite your mood, glad they made it.

  Crash Love was probably their greatest Opus. And medicate might be one of the slickest video's ever made. The full 2nd album is really excellent too. Bands have these moments where they all come together and just can turn out nothing but classic's- like creatively, they are in a place where they can do no wrong, I feel CL is like that- Coldplay's 3rd album was the same, just everything they made at that time was stellar. I never got into their 'Punk' period, as that had passed before I ever even heard of them, I caught wind of them with Sing the sorrow, but I Love all of their stuff and think CL is probably my favorite. It shows a real polished musicianship where the others may have been rougher, but in a good way. I always just prey they make a comfortable living doing what they do b/c they are talented, enjoyable to listen to, and deserve it.

  When asked to put together his dream band in an interview, he named Wendy & Lisa, then Sheila E, and when accepting awards over the years, he thanked Wendy and Lisa for their talent & contributions. In his unfinished autobiography he spoke about their immense talent, how they met, and how Lisa's shyness almost cost her the opportunity to be in the band. He loved those two dearly despite having to move on from The Revolution, truly the best and most defining band he ever had.
