Mary is such an inspiration. I’m on week 4 of the programme and I am feeling all the changes…..I’m completing all the required Actions every day not missing one and I think I’ve listened to every single podcast episode 3 times over! I feel so confident in beating this. I am getting emotional writing this because I truly thought this would be something I would just need to learn to live with 🥲 Thank you so much to the amazing Rob Kelly and his team Thank you thank you thank you 🥰

Happy to see Joe back on the podcast. This was my favorite one so far. I definitely relate to all of it. I love this program so much. I was going to say it gave me my life back but since I had emetophobia from age 7 to age 54 I can honestly say that it gave me a life that I never knew was possible. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!

This is amazing!!! 🤩🤩🤩 Life just gets better and better doesn't it? I feel like the more you realise you can now do, the more you want to keep pushing yourself to try new things that 7-54 year-old you wouldn't have ever dreamed of. The sky's the limit!!

@@Emetophobiafree Absolutely! Now anytime I see something that looks interesting I just go do it. I don’t even think twice about it. My sons are always commenting on how different my life is now. I wish I would’ve heard of it sooner but I don’t dwell on that either. I’m just grateful for every day!!! I tell EVERYONE about the Thrive Program. I’ve also bought the manual for several people. I can’t recommend it enough.

I see mine! Did the Thrive programme in early 2020, to be honest I stopped after a while but changed my mindset altogether with the help of THRIVE mindset ideas, and in just over a year I had overcome SOOO much. I dreamed of being a paramedic so did an ambulance ride along and held the sick bag as a rubbish bag (would NEVER of done this ever). went on a plane twice (so glad I did, found my love of flying and I'm working towards my private pilot licence!) went to a concert where a guy was drunk and I took myself back to the time where I made posters around my house with positive things about emetophobia and just enjoyed it, minimal panic. Mum had weight loss surgery so gets sick every now and then....I can confidently hear/watch her be sick with no panic (only small amounts, bigger stuff is still something I have to overcome, sorry if a bit too much information lol). I watch people throw up on TV shows...real and fake, hear people gag etc and to be honest..I laugh sometimes lol. (Mean to laugh I know but it's something SO HUGE for myself). 16 year old me in early 2020 was so upset about half of these things possibly ever not happening but now 20 year old me is basically emetophobia free! and all of those things did happen and guess what I lived 😂 Bit of a long story (really long lol) but thank you so much for this programme, you help SO many people and I don't think anyone can properly thank you 🤩❤😁😁😁.

Thank you so much for this video! I have been struggling with Emetophobia for over 8 years now. And I never felt truely understood by many people, including many of my therapists. Your videos help me to understand more about myself. And also encourage me to keep working on myself and pushing through it. Especially the social anxiety and personal disgust has never been mentioned anywhere. And it always felt like my main problem. Fearing how others perceive me, how I perceive myself after throwing up. That I'm disgusting. These videos help so much and I'm thankful for people who take the time to help us. Keep it up ❤️🙏

Joe.....I dislike the word SHOULD too! Massively. It suggests that you (or someone else) has done something incorrectly when that is not necessarily accurate. I am so pleased to hear someone dislikes the word too! I haven't got to the language section of the book yet and maybe words like this aren't covered but that word and the word disgusting are banned from our house. I make a conscious effort to avoid these strong emotion invoking words and opt for different words or phrases instead 🤷🏻‍♀️. My children don't even say disgusting, we try to say something might be unpleasant rather than disgusting for example and I try my best to never tell them they SHOULD have done something 🤷🏻‍♀️ Thank you to both you and Rob for creating these podcasts. They are invaluable 😊

Please I want to be done with this fear. I am so so scared for my future, for my partner and our children. How will I take care of them? I can't leave them alone as they get sick neither can I bear to help because emetophobia is REAL. I hate it. I hate breathing. I hate living because of it. I hate being helpless. I hate it. Please help.

Thank you for sharing this and we're so sorry to hear how much you're struggling. There is hope and there is a light at the end of the tunnel, I promise - even if it seems unimaginable when you're living in complete fear every single day. Have a look at our other videos as they provide some tips and can give you encouragement to see how other people have tackled this fear. It's definitely NOT something you you have to be stuck with for the rest of your life 🙏🏻

Thank you for publishing all these videos! I have been struggling with emetophobia since I can remember. I am 42 years old now and I can't remember a time in my life not having this damn phobia in my life. I have just discovered Rob Kelly and his videos etc. He is amazing at describing something I thought no one else understood. I'm just starting my journey of healing from this but I hope to find more about the Thrive program. I also suffer from PTSD, GAD and depression. But honestly the phobia is probably the worst of them all.

Really pleased to hear you've found them helpful and excited you're at the start of the thrive programme journey, you can find out info about the programme here - www.emetophobia.co.uk/about-thrive/ Interestingly Rob says in one of his videos that in his clinic treating all sorts of severe mental health issues, emetophobia is actually one of the hardest to treat (this is before he started the thrive programme!)
