    Yes there’s a trade off but I’m sure future models will fix this problem and it has firmware so it could be updated and improved in the near future. I got it at a great price on Indegogo so it’s good enough for now for me.

    It does have a limit at least, I tried melting High Carbon Steel and it doesn't seem to get that hot, or it takes too long not sure which. This was a relatively inexpensive kit with drawbacks, like as I stated here, can't be run indefinitely without burning out something, ie. not a " 100% load " system. Thanks for stopping by!

    Good Choice, I'm thinking of getting a RASA for widefeild in the future. Mine has no mirror flop but it's good for Planetary, and maximum zoom for the moon. Biggest problem with SCT's is they're F10 which . I use a Focal Reducer so it's F6.3 but still high.

    can the copper tubing be extended so its not so close to the electronics?

  • @shivercanada
    @shivercanada4 ай бұрын

    Yes I did that with another tube I made very slightly smaller. It doesn’t affect the electronics because of that giant fan which blows a lot of air and cools well. Making a tube too small will blow the unit as the seller explained. This is why the zero load type heaters are superior.

    Yeah it's from Aliexpress, Chinese made so it's likely not even 4000W, but that's what the kit is listed as so didn't want to confuse anyone incase they wanted the same kit.

    From the looks of the power supply he is using it's probably capable of less than 1000W. To get close to 4kW you're going to need to supply more than 80A at 48V.

    Absolutely phenomenal upgrade! Two questions I gotta ask, since I myself own the Hasbro Pack and the Spengler wand: How'd you get the sound to come from the wand and broadcast through pack, and how'd you upgrade your hose?? Your pack is a true work of art. Cheers!

  • @shivercanada
    @shivercanada8 ай бұрын

    Hey thank you but Spirit and Haslab did most of the work! I'm still not finished, I've since upgraded 3 more things and waiting for a couple parts. It's an obsession of love. :D I opened the Wand with the 4 screws on the back side ( had to drill out the plastic, but you can see where the bolts are where there is smooth plastic circles ) then the speaker/Heatsink pulls out easy so you can solder 2 wires to it. Then drilled a hole on an angle ( inside right under the handle area ) toward the handle, ran 2 small wires through and into the pack with the amp and speaker or easier yet a 15W bluetooth speaker with Aux input. Still lots of room for the battery. Had to drill a hole into the Spengler wand end hose attachment, then Epoxy the 2 halves together so I can screw in the loom holder and have wires going through it.I bought 3/4 split loom roll from Amazon for about $25 CDN for enough to make 3 or 4 of them. It hangs nicely, fits the Spengler attachments and doesn't kink like the one it came with, I did the opposite with the Power Button for the Spirit pack, ran 2 wires into the wand to the closest switch for the lights on the pack. I kept the slo bro button and wiring and will attach the wires to the slo bro button on the Wand some other time because you have to remove a lot of stuff to get in there. To cover the speaker holes on the pack I used the same putty epoxy pressed into the holes until flush then sanded. There are lots of free files on Thingiverse for upgrades if you have a 3D printer. I used some and made a couple of my own. Any other questions I can help with or clarify, I'll be glad to!

    Hello. I know you said this can't be run continuously, but it's quite an impressive performance while it is running :) Even if this is the 70ml crucible, although the bar suggests it is a bit bigger than that, the 13m melt from cold is pretty good. I guess the rebar doesn't get so hot because its relatively small diametre compared to the crucible means it doesn't couple too well. For fine tuning, I wonder about a bit more insulation between ceramic crucible and coil to reduce heat flow into the water cooling.

  • @shivercanada
    @shivercanada11 ай бұрын

    It’s always better to have more insulation and should work better but I don’t have a blanket to test it. It took over an hour with propane and usually under 15 minutes with this unit so it’s worth it

    I was there in 2009, and 2010 watching the sky multiple times during the day, and night. I've seen this thing in this video, or what seems to be this same thing in this video and it had another one with it. Looked like they were playing tag. I saw ufos in Niagara Falls 100's of times before I left mid 2010. Incredible experience, but freaky to see all the time not knowing what they are. This type far in the sky, also the one above the casino lights that was closer to the ground, but I've also seen things flying just above the homes, and buildings in Niagara Falls. If you weren't looking for them, you'd never see them. You must adjust your eyes... same for the one in this video, with the naked eye you really have to stare before you see these things most times. If not, and you're not looking for it, most people just quickly look up, and right back down again.. they miss it every time. I even pointed this out to people in person, and alot of them would just refuse to see what's right in front of them. I've seen a fleet of them moving in the same direction in the day time sky when I was at a barbecue with people who thought I was crazy until they all saw it. MIB was also approaching people during this time. Trust me when I tell you.

    I was following this almost nightly, literally hundreds of hours of wasted time, more than anyone trying to capture evidence of it maybe doing something odd and no MIB approached me. I'd love to hear what happened to you with these people, please comment if you can it's very valuable....this stuff gets lost in time and shouldn't. The 2 times it did do something I wasn't recording. Once I had a witness that told me it was turning and I watched all the lights rotate then stop, fumbled for my camera and it stopped literally a second before I hit record. Luckily though, I compared the STARS in the background to prove that all the lights turned. I outsmarted whoever they are but it's not comparable to actually having it recorded. All the same conditions exist as well as weather wise, but NO LIGHTS anymore

  • @shivercanada
    @shivercanada Жыл бұрын

    I saw that video. only problem is the devil is in the details. In 1990 the same thing happened in Montreal and hundreds of people witnessed it including police officers. They all saw it moving around the town from building to building. light pillars or ice crystals in the atmosphere can’t do that under any conditions. I saw the lights in the falls turn very slowly and then stop but I wasn’t recording at the time. I did, however prove the lights rotated by comparing a minutes before a video comparing the STARS. Some people at the casino also saw it all the lights turn as well. I originally thought it was ice in the atmosphere or ions from the Falls being lazed by the light on the ground, the bubble of ions acting like a chamber of gas in a gas laser. My experience and the Montreal 1990 sighting don’t match the explanation. Keep in mind a lot of people debunk things and they don’t know the details I’ve heard the stupidest explanations for sightings that don’t even match what was observed. I’d have to see the debunk. When people believe in the bunk that doesn’t match the evidence they are just as naïve as people who believe that everything is a UFO. I’m still undecided on the Falls lights. PS if it was atmosphere why did it disappear when nothing is changed. We have the same weather and the same lights, yet no sky phenomenon.

  • @donnelllucas78gmail

    Fatman, don't believe that debunked bs. Its always people with no experience who are debunking or fact checking things they know nothing about, nor can they understand. They Vegas video looks identical to the video in Niagara. There use to be like 40 videos of this craft by different people.... they are all impossible to find. I whitenessed this this thing many many times in person including the first night it appeared in October 2009. We get no prize to lie. We have already heard all the laughs. Tough skin.

I ordered mine (well twice; once from Tractor Supply Co, with $200 shipping, then once it was on GreenWorks' site with free shipping I canceled that and ordered from GreenWorks directly) a few weeks back and it has been sitting waiting for the snow to come since last week. Seems like it has the best features of the competition (Ego and Toro being the only real contenders here) with the exception of Toro's no-shear-pins connection (which may or may not be a good thing) and Toro's hand warmers, and GreenWorks' general high quality (I've got a lot of GW equipment and only one that was poorly designed IMHO). Long story short: I'm waiting for some snowy action here in PA, and it just isn't in the forecast, so glad to see some confirmation that this beast in my garage isn't likely to be a dud!

    The chute goes on the square shaft until you can put the bolt through (there is no "click" as the manual says). The chute is pointing right, so shine a light inside and you'll see the slot is mostly horizontal, angled slightly up at the right. Put the directional shaft in to match with the handle facing mostly-right, then attach the cable so you can pull the chute release and turn the handle straight up and it should be facing forwards. Definitely a 1.0 manual!

One little tip, if you slow down you won't wind up pushing a mound of snow and everything will operate a lot cleaner.

    Great video ! I just purchased the same unit but mine is the 80v version and get it next week. Overkill for me as the single stage Honda worked well for me for many years but when the street gets plowed it can't handle the snow drift at the end of the driveway, so this new unit should handle that with ease. I even got the 80v 12" shovel for the smaller areas to make this all easier. I hope anyways...

    I’m contacting Greenworks tomorrow about that I’m quite miffed because I have four 80 V batteries and 3 chargers and there wasn’t a version with 80 V batteries at Canadian tire. 😩 I sure hope Greenworks will swap it for me. This battery one easily handles the ice at the end of the driveway like a Gas one you’ll love it!

    Thank you very much for creating content for this product. I received mine a week ago and just tested, to make sure, that my batteries are compatible (from a 1 stage blower) and that the motor works. I am just about an hour north of NYC but we get more snow than them and I can’t wait for my first use.
