In 1968, Christopher Nupen founded one of the first (if not the first) independent television production companies in the United Kingdom. Aided by the invention of silent 16mm film cameras, Nupen became the pioneer of a completely new and intimate style, blending documentary and performance on film. He instinctively filmed musicians at close quarters on stage (and backstage), in their natural environment, where they have most to offer. The effects were dramatic and brought countless numbers of people to music for the first time, breaking down the barriers between musicians and the wider public. Over 70 productions, spanning five decades, the Allegro Films music archive is a unique body of work that remembers many of our great artists, as no other medium can equal.
Today, Allegro Films is as busy as ever, under the stewardship of Christopher Nupen’s wife Caroline and the film-maker Matthew Percival.
Allegro Films is part of the KZread channel network of NIKITA VENTURES.

Today, nobody would try to punish him for becoming rich off of his talent! Look how rich all the pop stars are!
I saw Austin Powers playing viola on the thumbnail
I've come here after listening to Kissin playing Schuberts Wanderer fantasy. They're both great compositions, and Kissin is a great pianist, I think. My favourite pieces for piano though are Chopins Ballade No.1, with Liszts Un Sospiro coming in a close second. Classical music will continue to be great, long after I've passed on to the other side !
...
And to think that the master was deaf when he wrote his last piano sonatas !
a true legend
One of my favorite pianist

The likes of Hitchcock and his genre of horror, suspense, surrealism, discord and visual dialectics must also pay homage to Arnold Schonberg, for it is in his twelve tone and a'tonal evolution accompaniment with film noir, the fear factor is rooted.
Et que dire de Lagoya et yepes !quelle époque!respect, Messieurs!
I was there, in the front row! It was the very first piano recital I ever went too, and it was the start of a passion for collecting and hearing play all the greatest classical pianists of the day.
Cheers and Vivat for the Maestro Sr. N. Paganini !

Which strings of your soul does Bach touch through Perelman's violin?
