New subscriber. Thank you for your videos.
What type of paper were you doing these swatches on please?
It's too much beautiful ❤️❤️❤️
This is such a good and comprehensive guide! Also thanks so much for specifying the opaque and translucent ones, really helps with the choice!
You're very welcome and glad it was helpful! :)
Omg THANK YOU i recently noticed that the ones I had for like two years were in fact not silver black velvet brushes 😭 I just bought a real set a few days ago and it should arrive soon. This time it’s the real deal. Also the dainayw are very much not pointy for me too especially the smaller two sizes.
Brilliant Wendy! Thank you❤
I have many of these same van gogh tubes and love them! For the price you can't beat them, they are such good quality paints. These with a few daniel smith primateks that excite you will create an awesome palette
wow, very nice review of Gallo paints, love your dog artwork, they look so real.
Your work is stunning! Do you prefer A gallo over Roman Szmal?
Beautiful granulating colors ! I enjoyed watching you swatch them and seeing them "explode" with color.....
Glad to hear you enjoyed it! :)
This was an EXCELLENT review. Thank you. Have you done one comparing the Van Gogh to Cottman?
Thank you Wendy for showing your beautiful artwork and swatches of this gorgeous watercolorbrand. Just wondering, would your dogs look different with for instance daniel smith paint? Though I love to try a brand like A Gallo I’m wondering if it will make a huge difference in the outcome I want to receive from my paintings. Greetings from Thailand (‘24)
Omg, gorgeous colors Wish I could get these paints and paint like my ggs used to before their death
Thank you so much for swatching this set by A. Gallo. I just recently ordered it and I cannot wait for the arrival! Your presentation has made me even more excited about finally getting to use them! Blessings. P.S. Your artwork is beautiful!
Thank you for the kind words! I'm excited for you to receive your A Gallo paints too and happy painting! ☺️
Thank you! You helped me choose what colors to order, as I’ve been back and forth a million times. 😅 Your work is absolutely lovely!
Its a bird
is the lightfastness good?
Awesome❤
Did they change Olive green since then? Mine looks very different. I was also puzzled watching swatches of the Rembrandt Olive green. On some swatches it looks very Yelloish,on others it looks way closer to the common greenish Olive green colour. Does anybody know whats happening?
this so beautiful you are really so talented
wow so beautiful you are so talented.
🔥
Which metallic colors are these?
Thanks for doing this review - I found it very helpful as I have these paints. 🔥😘🇨🇦
Glad you found the review helpful, happy painting! 😊
AWESOME!!!
So beautiful. Please give me tutorial in comments pleasee
Being a Schmincke- and a Daniel Smith-girl, I was hesitant to try the Van Goghs. But I am about to fall in Love. I appreciate all the single pigment colors. The price is still in a decent range and does not make me feel ripped off. And of course they behave just like their much more expensive siblings. For me they are a real discovery! Thank you for the review. Oh, and the animal paintings are just lovely!
Glad you enjoyed the review and thank you for your kind words! 😊
What size paint brush? Love the technique
Love your painting style. Would love to see more tutorials. Maybe something Halloween inspired?
l have two sets of the Dainayw brushes and have a completely different effect as regards ,very thin lines and holding water. Use them a great deal and very satisfy with them.
I like your very nice explanaition. I enjoyed seeing your lovely dog pictures. Thank you greetings from Christiane Berlin Germany 😊
Very nice and are you using water color ink?
Thank you for the review, but these paints actually has nothing to do with Canada. Their company is just a pigments supplier based in Canada. This brand looks like a private label company to me. They even got exposed in China few years back that they are actually the same company as Super Vision. The packaging, the size, the pigments number, the color swatches all matched. They even run out of their stock at the same time as Super Vision. The company was not so happy about it and denied such accusation. Frankly flashing Canadian flag all over their packaging smells fishy enough to me.
🔥
I'm wondering why the manufacturer didn't use indigo to make indigo paint?
Thank you. So very helpful
🔥

What a love letter to van gogh paints! I love this brand. So affordable and lovely❤ thanks for sharing and would def love a series on this!
I'm glad to hear you love this brand too! :)
I think it is… SO satisfying and really beautiful ❤
After seeing this video a year ago…i purchased this palette and i love it! i use it almost exclusively! They just came out with a new 36 color Naturale palette along with an assortment of new mineral colors.
I'm glad to hear that you are loving the palette too! :) I just saw the 36 Naturale palette and it looks beautiful!
First of all your artwork is lovely💗 It is a syle that I'll be working towards achieving someday! Looking at your colors and other videos about van gogh and comparing them with the pans I have, I'm very much in suspicion that the formulation in tubes and pans are quiet differen. I have been struggling with the VG pans for sure. They look gorgeous while applying however to a dull color. They don't move and flow as ecpected and gets muddy when mixed.. The binders and additives in the pans must be so much more to hold the pan in place that the end results suffers... Anybody else having problems with VG pans like me?
Thank you for the kind words! Looking at the photos of the VG pans online, they look to be extruded pans rather than hand-poured pans so it is likely that their formulation is different in the pans vs tubes. This is also the case with some other brands like Sennelier and Winsor and Newton (among others) where their pan formulation is different to their tubes. I would recommend purchasing the VG tubes and squeezing them into pans (also more economical this way). I recently squeezed all of my Van Gogh tubes into pans and they rewet beautifully. Hope that helps!
@@WendyPaints I'll give the tubes a try, thank you🌸
Wonderful review, Thanks 👍
Hello, Wendy! I just discovered your YT channel and rushed to see your work on Instagram, but it seems your account has been closed or something. I would love to see more of your work! Are you ok?
Thank you for the kind words! I've had to take a break from Instagram for now, but hoping to be back there again when the time is right. Thank you for your concern, I appreciate it :)
@@WendyPaints Thank you for replying! Glad to hear you're ok! Loved your work 🥰
What colors did you use? Absolutely beautiful
Hello there. Thank you for the detailed video. You covered almost every color I am interested in slowly buying. I was wondering how the dusk colors would mix with regular colors. For example how dusk yellow would mix with regular greens and blues.
