Would rather see the Martin Barre Band with excellent singing (and obvious outstanding musicianship) than listen to the painful, awful attempt at singing by Ian Anderson.

Let's remember that Stevie is not only blind but has perfect pitch That instrument is f*cking crazy for him Unlike the piano keys position or guitar like frets that instrument has no clear marks to touch And this is worse by the perfect pitch since you can play the same Rif on a different key and could get away with it easy but for a perfect pitch you are not playing the same on a different key you are just playing something different Incredible talent right there

10/03/2022 - only the 21st comment? Tull was my first rock concert at age 15, July 25, 1976 at the Pontiac Silverdome north of Detroit. Rick Derringer was the opener followed by Robin Trower. Smoke-filled arena, joints going back and forth along the row. Pretty heady stuff for a 15-year-old. Barre is amazing. So is the singer/guitarist. Pretty damn good 4-piece band!!

One of Chick's greatest songs from the first RTF album! The musicians probably spent about 17 minutes reading charts and walking through the chords before they played it live. ... Amazing! This concert was one of John McGlaughlin's last performances before he stopped touring.

Holy sh*t, what a show in Indy last night. In spite of the dingiest venue in town, Martin and his band thoroughly and graciously rocked the house nearly down! Actually the dark medieval surroundings were nearly perfect and surreal for such a performance. Rock on, Martin. Great tribute to an all time phenomenal rock opera…. 👍👍

I don't know what that is, but it's definitely not Romantic Warrior.
After the recent release by Ian, I looked at what Martin was doing. What a joy to hear the great, early Tull songs played with such energy and fresh enthusiasm. Martin's 50 years of Jethro Tull is a beautiful collection of the very best music. This really deserves more recognition as great Tull music.

Stunning, SIMPLY STUNNING! Ms. Lucinda, I would LOVE to know how you wrote this song. Was it one which had words coming ALMOST faster than you could scribble them down? Or, is this one of those songs which existed in bits & pieces, until you realized it was finished? I’m a lyricist too, so I’m familiar with both types of song writing. If I feel compelled, I may write something after hearing your song, no matter how many I find! HANDS DOWN, I HAVE NEVER HEARD A SONG WHICH IS BOTH SO BEAUTIFUL & SO HAUNTING! I have but two words left: BRAVA BRAVA! teKie ( tee-kee ) ps: I’m sure this won’t be the first comparison others have made, but I wonder if the woman who sings, THE JOKE’S ON ME ( last name is Carlisle ) has ever been told that her voice is quite similar to yours! Lucky Lady!
